Extremely helpful

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

This was helpful for passing my NMLS test when I took it the second time. I did not pass it the first time without it as a study aide.

Any additional comments?

I had to take the test for a second time so I bought this audiobook I hope of reinforcing what I already knew and to help me memorize things I was struggling with.
I listened to it once from start to finish 3 days prior to my test. On the day of my test, I listened to the parts I was struggling with several times. I focused on definitions, formulas, and quick facts which helped me to memorize a lot of key points I the NMLS test.
The entire book is a little over 3 hours long but it breaks things down well into the main sections tested on. In my opinion, it was a helpful tool if my passing the test the second time. It seemed to help jog my memory when coming across questions on the test. Well worth the price of the test! Kelly C.

Beware, outdated content and incorrect test answers

Doesn't include the new LE and CD. At least one test answer is incorrect (DTI question). Narrator mispronounced some terms and wording

decent but outdated

Reading is very dry, reminds of Ben Stein visine commercials. Some info is outdated, most of it is still good to know but if you are unaware of the current numbers and forms used it could cause you additional problems when taking the exam.

I needed to learn.

I just have an issue with the narrator. His monotone voice made me struggle to keep attention. It was like a computer talking. I need to study so I finished it but jeez. I'm glad I got it with a credit. If I paid for it I'd want my money back. Next time I'll buy the book I guess.

Good to fall asleep with

No really! good to fall asleep studying for the mortgage exam playing Audible next to your head. However there are mistakes & updates. It doesn't help to study if you don't know where the changes are; if you are clearly studying some wrong, inaccurate info. This should definitely be updated with bold/bullet points, clearly pointing out changes, i.e., there is no longer a GFE, etc. 1 of the practice test answers are incorrect. 99.9% sure but I have to find it and they want this review now. Will update. (Just like Book should!) Mortgage broker 10 years, getting back in the biz.

Former Loan Officer

As a former Loan Officer from the early and mid 2000's before licensing was required. I wanted a nice refresher before starting my Pre-Licensing course. Although very resourceful, it is a smidge outdated. However it is still full of useful and pertinent information! Put your read speed up to 1:35x and it's read at a much better place.
