The members of the League of Losers didn't even have a chance to get settled in their new home at the three-headed mountain before their new refuge was discovered by enemies—new ones as well as old. The lost evergreen valley, surrounded by snowy mountain peaks, is a very tempting prize that immediately attracted the envious attention of all the neighbors.
And that means the time has come for Sergeant and his cat Whiskers to demonstrate the skills and spells they've learned in this new world, dust off their concealed artifacts, and make use of the beasts they tamed at the beginning of the game in order to withstand a siege, fight off vicious attacks, and defend their independence and their lives.
Their enemies are powerful, and they're also numerous. Very numerous. But as strange as it might sound, that's actually a good thing—there's no unity among their opponents, which means that the League of Losers might just have a chance not only to survive, but to become more powerful and reach for new heights!

It progressed well throughout. Even better, this story ended well, not leaving me with the frustrated feeling other stories have instilled.
Great story

WARNING: SPOILERS AHEAD!!
The author should have stopped relaying the events when Whiskers became Knowledge then expanded to include a confrontation with Pharoh that had the Valors explain the Losers new role. The rest of the book could have been the Losers getting adapted to their new roles, the marriage of Shelly and Sargent, Shelly's Uncle calling a truce and including their race on the list of Allies, the transition of Whiskers from Leader of a clan to new Valor and who he chose to be his successor, the birth of his triplets, the birth of Sargent's first son, ect.... Then there last chapter could have included all the rest of Whiskers thoughts.
END OF SPOILERS!!
The series was excellent, but the last chapter of this book tied everything up in too neat a bow. It was an "And they lived happily ever after" fairy-tale ending this series didn't deserve.
