About this listen

An unstoppable killing machine is unleashed to do . . . whatever she wants in this fast-paced, action-packed spin-off of the Faceless Minion series.

She's unlike any one or any thing else: a Non-Standard Leashed-Intelligence Cybernetic Enforcer aka NSLICE-00P. The first of her kind, she's let loose into a universe of superheroes on behalf of her sinister masters to destroy all who oppose them.

And everything's going according to plan—until NSLICE-00P gets hacked and sent into the past to kill her own creator before he creates her. Obeying orders as always, she wastes the poor guy. Unfortunately, there are consequences to initiating a reality-breaking time paradox. The most significant: total ejection from that reality.

Now the cyborg finds herself in a world of skills and levels, with the distinct advantage of possessing a dungeon core. She'll have to make her way without orders, programming, or limitations. NSLICE-00P suddenly has a whole new life ahead of her. If only she can keep herself from blowing things up at the drop of a hat, she'll be just fine . . .

The first volume of the hit LitRPG fantasy series—with more than two million views on Royal Road—now available on Kindle, Kindle Unlimited, and Audible!

Long stat lists but the rest is pretty good

the stats lists are incredibly long and can last minutes. I like the story a lot though and the narrator is great.

OK story but not great narration.

Pluses:
Fun, somewhat unique idea.

Negative parts:
I find the narrator to be hard to listen to. She uses odd intonations and inflections.
It is perhaps meant to come off as a bit of either emotionless robot or a bit irreverent
and nonchalant but I find it to be grating.

The story is not really very fun once you get beyond the initial basic premise.
Pretty standard LitRPG with OP protagonist but this time with an emotionless robot.
It is possible that it the narration ruined the flow and feel of the story for me as well.

Funny and ridiculous.

I enjoyed the book. Only really annoying character is the rat king guy, but I think he is supposed to be. Good start.

Not Humorous but is entertaining

I have to say. calling this a "humorous" isekai is kind of misleading since there is little humor because nslice is a humorless cyborg who is incapable of referring to herself in first person. Was I supposed to laugh when she face planted or when she mowed down armies of enemies? Or when people are so flabbergasted at her capabilities that they are metaphorically crapping their pants? I didn't but I will give the story credit it does entertain, I had hoped that her human half would get some more growth but it seems book 2 is where that'll happen

Funny, nice action. Has a mostly OP MC

It was a fairly fun listen. My only beef is that the full stats took a long time to read (maybe 15+ minutes?)

I am officially hooked

when you're reading those lit RPG books, you always wonder what would happen if a magical world was combined with sci-fi fantasy. This is that book. It has a great blend of action, comedy and adventure.

I truly enjoy the narrator, who is very talented at what they do. you often get narrators that only use one voice and sometimes it can be hard to follow along because they're using their same voice with no inflections or monotones. this narrator doesn't just have one but tries to give a unique voice to each of the individual characters. mostly the main characters but still tries to give it to a lot of the side characters as well. Because of this, I often feel like I'm listening to a play or like I'm at the theater.

Steady but nothing new. Good for teenagers.

Story started at a good pace. I feel the main character got bogged down by other peoples problems and had to pause to help them. At the same time the main character didn’t developed much character. Like an IA who becomes self aware. Self interested or just snaps out of a stumper and realizes what happened to her. It’s possible. It’s a new world. Different gods. But it doesn’t happen.

Intriguing character idea that worked well

I thought the basic premise and choice for mc personality and design were unique and quite novel, The story progressed well. It says it is a humorous litrpg but I didn’t find the elements that funny myself. I think the rat king and spider were supposed to add levity to the story but to me came off as annoying a lot of the time. My biggest critique I’d have to say was the character sheets, they took forever to get through and were monotonous so I wound up tuning them out most of the time then I’d miss when the story picked back up, starting fast forwarding through them to get back to the story. If the length of the character sheets was necessary then they could have had there own chapters, having them mid chapter broke the story apart too much in my opinion and the further into the book you got the longer the sheets became, the longest being around 40 mins long. The voice acting was well done.
TLDR: I liked the story and the progression, some characters annoying but overall interesting but the character stats became tedious and broke the story apart.

Unique and Mostly Good

I loved the merging of concepts in this book, and for those of you who might be worried by the description that she becomes a dungeon core, fear not, she isn't a stationary dungeon so this isn't going to be one of those types of books - thank God. On the negative side, oh my God the shear amount of stat spam in some chapters is unpresidented. I swear, one of the last chapters winds up with a 30 minute stat reading! Seriously, author, what kind of freak of nature is going to listen to that? You REALLY need to figure out a way to compress that for your next audiobook release because that was just stupid.

interesting Isekai

There is no power balance in this book. At all. The MC is an interesting character in terms of who/ what they are. More of a robot without a personality than a character. Just the same, it's different enough between the MC and the system that it held my interest and I will read the next book.
