I loved this book. It puts the idea of balance and reducing stress as the most important things for your health. This is by no means a dictatorial health guide. There are suggestions and some action steps, but this book primarily puts the reader in charge of deciding how they want to nourish their metabolism. If you are looking for well researched evidence to ditch that restrictive diet and exercise plan you have that has left you exhausted and overwhelmed, this is the book you need to read. In a time where we are surrounded by lots of different diet and exercise plans, shaming, and fearmongering in the health and wellness industry, this book is a much needed breath of fresh air!

Finally a book that takes a common sense approach!

What did you love best about The Nourished Metabolism?

This information is wonderful - and takes a much healthier approach and mentality to living to the best and healthiest of our abilities.

What did you like best about this story?

The power to eat almost anything within moderation - I've never been a processed food fan and that isn't something you will usually find in my house, but to hear I can have butter and salt within reason just makes sense.

Have you listened to any of Erin Fossa’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

This is the first time I have heard Erin Fossa perform, but I would be inclined to search her out in the future.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Here's a whack on the side of the head from your common sense and ancestors!

This is the ONE book all parents should not miss!

some topics are described more than required while others just touched. did not explain bio feedback... another mystery.
rest is worth it.

a little slow here and there

Is this book worth listening to? I would say yes if you are just beginning your healthy journey as it encourages the listener that no two people are alike and you have to listen to your body.

Summing it up I would say "stress hormones effect the body so drink water, eat right, sleep enough and exercise (but not too much because it will stress you out). If you've listened to/read a few of these types of books already and know about the effect hormones have on being healthy skip this one. If you're new or need refreshing on what to focus on go for it.

I will also say she does give tips one right balance of macronutrients to eat per body weight and some things to check to determine metabolic health.

A "figure it out yourself" story
