Turn your good intentions into action.
Whether you run your own business or work for someone else, you’ve probably got a lot on your plate. Along with the portion of your work that you truly feel like doing comes a generous helping of things you’d rather not do. As consultants, Steve Levinson and Chris Cooper have seen countless clients struggle - and often fail - to do the many success-producing things they know they should do but don’t feel like doing. The Power to Get Things Done will teach you how to consistently turn your good intentions into action so that you can be as successful as possible in the work you do.
Don't feel like filing those pesky tax forms or making the follow-up calls you've been putting off? The Power to Get Things Done will show you how to get yourself - and keep yourself - in gear.
Levinson and Cooper offer you a host of practical solutions, including:
- The smart way to think about and treat your own good intentions
- Three key principles of following through that will change everything
- Simple but powerful principles and strategies that will turn you into a follow-through champion

Excellent Book by all standards

Towards the beginning of the book, the authors, give the reader the option to skip ahead to future chapters, which, if you decide to buy this book, you should definitely do. The first half of the book is basically describing why you need this book. The second half has some random tips about falling through, but once again, Atomic Habits is far superior, and this book doesn't add anything beyond what is in Atomic Habits. If you've already read Atomic Habits and are looking for another similar book, this is an OK read, but you would probably be better off just rereading Atomic Habits.
Get Atomic Habits instead

What disappointed you about The Power to Get Things Done?
The repetitive nature of this and no solid suggestions .Silly things like hire someone to make you get it done. well duh, if we had the disposable income to do that I wouldn't need a book on how to stop procrastination on things I feel are boring and mindless and or not up my alley.Has The Power to Get Things Done turned you off from other books in this genre?
NO, there has got to be a book out there that gives suggestions in other than common sense manner to get things done that you feel are just mind boggling boring or tedious. What aspect of Fred Sanders’s performance would you have changed?
Stop with repetition. Actually have some substance to your book with decent stories. What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?
definitely disappointed I wasted so much time listening to it hoping it would get better.Super repetitive and dissapointing
