About this listen

They promised him one weekend a month. The House or Reason swore the 9th would never leave their gentle homeworld. But after Kublar, things changed for Sergeant Fetch and the Caledonian Reserve Legion Corps. Thrown into a meat grinder conflict in a desperate bid to hold the line, it doesn’t matter whether you’re reserve or active, only that you kill and survive.

A searing tale of combat and honor at any price from a wounded veteran of the War in Iraq who fought to keep the MSRs open from Mosul to Tikrit.

Another winner from this universe, and the narrator was amazing! I can't wait to buy this one in hardback for my library!

Loved It!

I quickly came to care and think of the main character as myself. I am relistening to insure I didnt miss any of the nuances of the story. A great way to enjoy my drive time for work!!

Exceptional

Narrator was fantastic. So far, this is the best book in the series. Actual swear words were a bit jarring, but didn't detract from the story at all.

Best one so far

Great book. The story is another action packed look into the Galaxy's edge universe. The characters in this book are an amazing addition to an already impressive cast throughout the series. If you enjoy the series as a whole this book is a no brainer.

Great story, great battles, and great characters!

Good side story in the Galaxy's Edge series. Almost as strong as the core series. Well worth a listen, I'll be looking for more works by Handley and Rummel.

Solid

This story brought back a lot memories of Iraq. It's almost symbolic that soldiers have to go through the worst of war and afterwards live in the horrors for the rest of their lives. I hope people will take this for face value of the word veteran.

What a rollercoaster

Took a while to get used to the narration but after a while he stuck. The story was excellent and full of action.

When is part 2 coming?

Like the title says, this is another fantastic book that expands on the Galaxy’s Edge universe by showing us another side of the Legion in another war. The action is intense and feels like tactics a real army would use in this type of situation. I can not recommend this book enough!

Another excellent addition to Galaxy’s Edge
