Fun story with enjoyable characters

A nice combination of world building, swash buckling, and thievery. I enjoyed the character development and found the story telling pleasant to follow. If you are into gritty stories where most of the good guys die, this may not be the story for you. For me, it was a highly enjoyable set of yarns only slightly marred by the narrator's multiple pronunciations that did not match my expectation.

I really enjoyed it .
The Science Officer try’s so hard tbe the man he wants to be , and put the past behind .not everyone
Gets what they want in this universe. Especially when pirates are involved.
This is the story of a man some trees and a few chickens, ooo ya and pirates.
But little does anyone one know , you should never piss a off a dude who can science the crap out of stuff !
If you like space ships strong Women smart ass science Officers ,and can’t forget chickens then this books all you .

Averagr

Not a bad story, except for the very odd way of calling chapters everything but chapters, but poorly read. The voices were okay, the narration was very choppy with a pause every few words and emphasizes where none were required. I doubt I will buy this narrator again.

Became Sadistic and Weird

After a promising start, this book dove sharply to where every character was stripped of redeeming values and were left doing awful things to each other. And seemingly everyone had some kind of preternatural ability that allowed them to make wild turns against their own character. Combine this with some questionable shifts in point of view and the listening experience is simply a no fun slog. The performance was competent, but combined with the nastiness of the story, the halting and effected narration was grating.

Not recommended unless this is your idea of fun.

Narrated with such odd cadence!

I literally could not listen to this audio. While the narrate had a pleasent tone, the cadence distracted me to the point I could not get past the first three paragraphs. It was like he was trying to speak like original Star Treks Cap'n. Kirk.
