Publisher's summary

Do you want to regain self-confidence and get free from negative thoughts? Do you also want to enjoy the self-esteem advantages and change your life with self-hypnosis? If yes, then keep reading...

Self-esteem is the value people place on themselves. It’s the assessment of one’s self-image as either positive or negative, good or bad.

People with a healthy view of themselves tend to be more outgoing and are usually better, if not, more willing to communicate. Whenever they fail at accomplishing a task the first time, they try harder to succeed the second time. And because they are not afraid of communicating, they are more comfortable initiating relationships. They believe that love and kindness expressed by other people toward them are genuine. They value relationships and are not afraid to seek out new ones when the relationships they are currently in tend to be abusive or problematic.

On the other hand, people with low self-esteem tend to be more aggressive in the way they communicate. They are more likely to be involved in substance abuse and become sexually active at an early age. Compared to people with healthy self-esteem, they are generally less happy and satisfied with their lives.

Self-esteem is very dynamic and changes through time. It can shift in response to events we experience in life, such as failing a test, getting rejected by our dream company, and so on. When you have poor self-esteem, that can hold you back from achieving your full potential because it causes you to believe that you don’t have what it takes to reach greater heights.

What’s interesting is that the way we see ourselves doesn’t only affect us, but also the manner by which we communicate with others. According to studies, our self-esteem interrelates with at least three interpersonal needs that influence the way we communicate: control, inclusion, and affection.

The need for control is what gives us the desire to maintain a level of influence in any of our relationships. Because of this need, we tend to want to have some say in what happens in our relationships all the time. As a result, we feel unsatisfied whenever we feel that we have no control. According to research, individuals with healthy self-esteem tend to feel more control when it comes to relationships and in their lives.
