About this listen

The epic finale to the Bone Witch series! As Tea's dark magic eats away at her, she must save the one she loves most, even while her life - and the kingdoms - are on the brink of destruction.

In the eight kingdoms, none have greater strength or influence than the asha, who hold elemental magic. But only a bone witch has the power to raise the dead. Tea has used this dark magic to breathe life into those she has loved and lost...and those who would join her army against the deceitful royals. But Tea's quest to conjure a shadowglass, to achieve immortality for the one person she loves most in the world, threatens to consume her.

Tea's heartsglass only grows darker with each new betrayal. Her work with the monstrous azi, her thirst for retribution, her desire to unmask the Faceless-they all feed the darkrot that is gradually consuming her heartsglass. She is haunted by blackouts and strange visions, and when she wakes with blood on her hands, Tea must answer to a power greater than the elder asha or even her conscience. Tea's life-and the fate of the kingdoms-hangs in the balance.

This book series rules, but the narration is weird

This book is amazing, I have nothing but deep love for the writing. I am SO BUMMED about the narration. First, the narration seems to not be recorded in as high quality audio as normal. The woman's voice is sometimes so quiet that I have to max the volume. I got over that, though because the story is so great. But WHYYYYYYYYYYY did they change the way they pronounce one of the main character's name just in book three!??! It is so disappointing, especially considering it is the same narrators in all the books! GAH.

perfectly balanced fantasy

Chupeco put a perfect balance of dark, light, romance, and fantasy into this book. my favorite of the 3. the ending wasn't totally great. left a few questions. could be a book 4. it would be nice to see what tia does. I didn't like the deal she struck at the end. but overall , I loved it.

Head up!

Make sure you’re okay with LGBT/gender identity stuff before listening to the series. The story bounces back and forth from current to past making it difficult to keep up!

Theprince charming

I enjoyed this trilogy by Rin Chupeco and the ending was as most fairy tale endings, the girl gets her prince charming. I was interested in the LBGT characters just as much and was surprised by who they were when introduced. I believe Rin Chupeco did an excellent job with these characters and did not take the focus off the main characters just because they were LGBT. I still like the two narrators Zeller and Damron.

Excellent story

I saw this series pop up a few times in my recommended but I pushed it off thinking I wouldn’t be interested. When I finally did listen I finished the trilogy in only a few days. It was so good! The author is an excellent writer and I LOVE how she wrote these books. The only issue I had was that the narrators changed the pronunciation of one of the main characters names in the third book. Made it frustrating but still worth listening to!!

Great Narrator

The Narrator Emily Woo-Zeller is forever spectacular. This is one of many I've listened to by her and as always she did an amazing job.

Very Enjoyable

Loved the series. Three books is just the right number to keep me interested before I get bored with a story. loved it til the last word.
