Publisher's summary

The Saint of War spares the life of a servant girl so she can fulfill her destiny as the kingdom’s greatest warrior in this short story of love and loyalty by New York Times bestselling author Alix E. Harrow.

Always mindful of the debt she owes, the girl finds her worth as a weapon in the hand of the Prince. Her victories make him a king, then an emperor. The bards sing her name and her enemies fear it. But the war never ends and the cost keeps rising—how many times will she repeat her own story?

Alix E. Harrow’s The Six Deaths of the Saint is part of Into Shadow, an enthralling collection of dark fantasy stories about the lure of forbidden knowledge. Read or listen to each in a single sitting.

Never knew

Oh wow. I never thought I would feel this much from about an hour narration. The sorrow I feel now leaves a hole in my chest. Be right back crying in the corner. Please someone write more. :( <3

The repentance

I liked the narrator she read the story very well. I didn’t really like the story, I don’t like story’s that repeat themselves. I know that was the point because her lives repeat but it’s just not my cup of tea. It wasn’t a bad story just not for me. I did like the symbolism though.

Beguiling

My first introduction to Ms Harrow. This is a beguiling short story of reincarnation and karma. And, oh look, I have a book of hers on my TBR list for over a year. lol.

Excellent Novella that packs an emotional punch

Loved the second person POV. The writing was impeccable in my opinion. It really brought up the point in which us humans place such importance on being remembered that we forget about the little things that make us, human. In addition to the consequences of wearing rose colored glasses when in love. For a novella, this really struck a chord with me. The narrator for the audiobook captured the emotion and struggle of being caught up in a time loop. Such a devastating yet beautiful end. I need this as a full novel asap!
