Story
Two little girls stand with their heads bowed in my living room. I’m told they’re my granddaughters. Daisy is nine, and Alice seven. Daisy is the spitting image of her mother. This is the first time I’ve met them since my daughter and I fell out after she married that waste of space, Vince. They’ve come to live with me because their mother — my daughter — was murdered. In her own home while they slept close by. I think Vince killed her. But the police can’t prove it. I’ve always known he was no good. He treated my daughter like dirt. I said he’d cheat on her — but she wouldn’t listen.

In great cities of the world, humanity congregates, and commerce, culture, and cosmopolitan sophistication blossom in their gardens. But in the shadows that lie beyond the broad boulevards and glare of electric lights, great cities give birth to something else. In these shadows thrives a dim underworld, peopled by nefarious characters brought together from every godforsaken corner of the globe. Overall, the performance, editing and overall production.
I just could not get enough of HPLS's Dark Adventure radio dramatizations of HP Lovecraft's stories or stories influenced by Lovecraft.
Simply, the best.
Some listeners might not like the old radio format, but, I love it.
They are my most listened too and anticipated release in Audible.
The beauty of these adaptations is you feel like you are part of the ride.
The closest feeling listening to them is like watching, The Raiders of the Lost Ark, for the first time.
Intoxicating and exhilarating!!
I bet, Lovecraft himself would give these radio dramatizations two big thumbs up!!
