For most of my time on planet Earth, weight was not a mere number on the scale. Weight was the confidence to show up in the world, the possibility of attracting a mate, and ultimately what fueled myself-acceptance. That's why like most women, I invested a significant portion of my life force toward one thing: losing weight. As soon as I learned about the newest diet sensation, boom! I turned my life upside down. Then after months of white knuckles and Herculean efforts, I lost weight. But then I watched in horror as the scale went back up.
The issue is not how can I get the scale to show a lower number, but why does my weight rebound? The life-changing question became crystal clear. The ancient wisdom is this,
We can't solve a problem until we ask the right question.
The only question I had been asking was, "How can I lose weight as fast as humanly possible?" That's why I kept regaining the weight back.

Worthless
The book spends 40 minutes telling you that your gut bacteria is messed up and they will help you fix it with all these decision points that are included in images that accompany the book which will tell you exactly what to do to solve it. That sounds great. Except there aren't any images. I reached out to Audible Support and they told they were not supplied any supplemental material.

This booklet is a key to keeping weight off
Just finished listening to "The Thin Microbiome" and for the first time in my adult life I understand why I've not being able to keep weight off once I wrestled it off. I'll get all the other booklets when they become available. This introduction gave me the kind of hope I've lost with yo yo dieting. The possibility of losing excess weight and keeping it off is seems possible with the information the booklet imparts. Can't wait to learn more about how to heal my microbiome.
