About this listen

A warrior with a secret, a ruthless band of cutthroats, and a monster of ancient legend converge in this fantasy from the author of the Mountain Man series.

It’s a time of war. After years of relentless battle, the tired nation of Sunja realizes its spine is close to breaking. Desperate for aid, the country’s king dispatches a company of soldiers to the north in a desperate plea for help from its neighbors. A Sunjan cavalier called Bloor has the unenviable task of leading the mission. His doomed and divided command will soon discover it’s not the war-torn northern wilderness—or the legions of hated Nordish soldiers—they need to be on guard against. A much more sinister threat awaits them, just out of sight of Sunja’s high walls, one that threatens to rip them all apart—and swallow them whole.

The Troll Hunter is a story of heroic fantasy from the bestselling author of the Breeds and Mountain Man series.

My opinion:Blackmore,is the best in the business!

“The Troll Hunter” solidified my growing hunch, that Keith Blackmore is the most talented and entertaining author in the business! I have all the “big names”,1100 fantasy titles in my library-Keith is the only author, I can state: has never disappointed. Granted,”The Song of Ice and Fire” is just not fair to compare to anyone, but GRRM’s other stuff ,has never appealed to me. Especially, his forays into different genres. Judging by the reviews of other customers-I am not alone...
Keith Blackmore has never disappointed( at any subject he chooses to tackle)! The dude is a bottomless well of talent!
Write on ,Mr.Blackmore! I will be ready to grab up whatever you got for us...
Spread the word about Blackmore,so you can claim:”you knew him when”...

excellent on all counts performance Story Action

the story was in depth you really well thought-out characters I would have given it five stars all along except for the ending I sort of felt it might go that way but I didn't want to believe it could have been a good series in any case enjoyed it immensely

Another great book

I finished mountain man and now I moved to this. Very different and it took me a bit to get into it and then I got hooked. Had to pay close attention to who was who because sometimes the names were confusing. The storyline had a lot of twists and turns. And when it ended, I smiled. With a bit of sadness though. And I guess that means it had an impact.

KCB does it again!

This book is great and heartbreaking all in one. the masterful execution of the end leaving room for a sequel that for most of the book I didnt see coming. it's a wild ride and I implore anyone jumping into this that while at first the story feels like it may be an little jarring and jump around.. be patient as it all ties together neatly at the end.

Overall great book

I loved this story I am not happy about the ending at all I feel like the author likes to kill off great characters a little to eagerly
