About this listen

Lauren Prescott had dreamed of being an actress since she was cast as Wendy in her junior high production of Peter Pan. Yes, her nightgown snagged and brought the set tumbling down, but she was hooked. After years of unsuccessful auditions, performing just wasn’t in the cards. Instead, Lauren established herself as a successful stage manager at the esteemed McAllister Theatre. Unfortunately, the resident director has cast celebrity, Carly Daniel: Headstrong, entitled, and always late. So, why is their chemistry turning her the hell on?

After partying her way through her twenties and ruining a successful film career, Carly Daniel has to take whatever she can get. If schlepping it onstage will raise her star again, she’ll listen to her pesky agent. Added bonus: The uptight stage manager is a sexy distraction.

When Carly’s costar is sidelined, Lauren must decide whether renewing a long-forgotten dream will jeopardize what she has percolating with Carly. Is the limelight big enough for two?

Another Home Run

Melissa Brayden has done it again. To the Moon and back is a wonderful love story. A romance that is not interfered with by invasions by other people but by deciding what makes your heart full of happiness. The discoveries these two personally undertake is beautiful to see unfold.

Hot damn

Made me cry, made me laugh and made me wish I’d wore panties for the drive home. Nuff said.

A Combination that just keeps giving!

Simply can't go wrong with Melissa & Melissa. My favorite author and narrator at this point, a pairing to die for.

Brayden's writing is brilliant as always. A lovely story, characters that you simply can't help but root for.
Ms Sternenberg's narration is as flawless as ever.

Great story

Loved the storyline, I love the way melissa has the seriousness but funny parts in her books . I did miss one thing that has been in all her books except this one. There was no attache anywhere in this book . lol. Was not a fan of the narrator, all the voices sounded the same and Lauren and carley sounded like the were 12.. Bring on the next melissa

2 words. Emotional. Rollercoaster

I’ve read / listened to all of Melissa Brayden’s books and I have to say that this one took me on the biggest emotional rollercoaster ride. Honestly, the way it starts off I didn’t expect the amount of twists and turns, but Melissa Brayden didn’t hold back! This was a really great listen - plot and how the narrator executed it.

Also, the famed “attaché” made a scene!

Excellent.

I loved To the Moon and Back. I loved the story. When the two women start to get involved you want to play melodramatic music in the background. NO NO Stop. Go Back. But alas they go forward. Great story. Melissa Sternenberg did a great job with the narration.

It happened again

Started this book when I noticed a new Melissa Brayden book was out during break this morning at what ended up being a 2 hour workday since nobody is going to Denny's right now despite lifted restrictions. Finished it the morning after (technically) at 1 AM. The M&M, or M^2 if you're feeling particularly algebraic team of Brayden and Sternenberg is still going strong and I am here for it.

Loved the book, seriously, stories like this are what give me life and hope during these dark times. Melissa Brayden's characters, their mannerisms, personalities, and habit of returning for cameos in future titles (and maybe past titles, I've read all her stuff, but never entirely in chronological order, that's on the to-do list though) continue to impress and stick with me long after the story is over and done.

I advise anyone who's willing to read through this review to join me in my addiction to her rich tapestry of lesbian fiction. The best moments are worth the awkward noises and hugging yourself that happens when you hear them. Trust me, yes, the people in Wal-Mart will look at you funny, but only because they're missing out.

Yours in sleep deprivation and night reviewing (see night blogging), Taylor
