Publisher's summary

Layla Warren first introduced us to Trip Wilmington in Remember When. Now, hear his side of the story!

Trip Wiley wasn't always a Hollywood movie star. In fact, he wasn't always Trip Wiley. Back in 1990, he was better known as Trip Wilmington, the new kid in town.

New place, new school...same old story.

No big deal. It's not like this is the first time he's been forced to start over. But 17 years of city living hasn't prepared him for life in the suburbs...or for Layla Warren.

Layla is smart, funny, beautiful...the kind of girl every guy dreams about. Trip should know. He's been falling for her since the first minute he saw her. And his life hasn't been the same since.

Prepare to travel back to your teen years...that time in your life before the real world kicked in, that limbo between adolescence and adulthood, that trial of hanging onto the past while figuring out where the future will lie. With heart-shredding romance, steamy love scenes, and hilarious '80s references, listeners of all ages will find themselves falling in love with Trip all over again.

😭 Wow

I cried like a baby! A stroll down firsts, young love, and inevitable life transitions. Been there done that, but have a daughter leaving for college this year so I’m relieving it again. To be young and excited about life and love 💗
Teddy Hamilton- BRAVO! Perfection! Loved that he performed the entire book. His performances make books come alive for me. I’ll never get tired of listening to him.
I’m hesitant to listen to the 3 books since it won’t be him but want to know what happens so I hope they can live up to this performance.

Loved Trip's story!!⭐⭐🔥⭐⭐

I actually started this series and story about Trip and Layla with Book 3, the finale which I enjoyed. And because Books 1 and 2 are in the romance package I was able back track and listen to the beginning of this series with different narrators (was a little long so I confess I skipped ahead in books 1 and 2) But overall, this is a pretty good series but I loved Trip's POV and the beginning of his love story with Layla. And I loved how the story did take us back to a time before all of the technology and automation and some really good times that I can reflect on. Great music references too. Thank you as usual Teddy. 😉

Great New POV

I loved the Remember When series and was glad to get a glimpses into Trips mind during his first year with Layla, his last year in high school. For some reason his POV seemed to make me feel said. It was heartbreaking the way they left things although I know they get their HEA in a future book. I really wish we could have gotten his POV through the whole series so we could have known his side of the story.

I love Teddy Hamilton and will listen to almost anything he narrates.

Oh my god.... What an ending. I think this is the only book I have ever read that two People don't run off into the sunset at the end. It kind of makes you want to read book 2 To find out what happens next.... which There is none.... And oh my god teddy hamilton can make any read perfect!!!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥 I can say I absolutely love this read....

Reminiscing high school in 1991!

Thank you for this book! First off, anything with Teddy Hamilton narrating is going to be great to listen to. This book took me right back to high school and brought my own memories to the surface I would not have remembered otherwise. I could almost taste and smell being a junior 1991 and saying goodbye to high school in 1992!

Thank you T. Torrest for taking me down memory lane to relive all the excitement and butterflies of life’s firsts.

Loved it

Loves the voice actor. I enjoyed Tripp’s POV better than Layla’s. I’ve already read the series but I’m enjoying listening to the audio books!

Wow this was such a good series ❤️

🚨SPOILER 🚨

I can’t decide if this should have been the first book or the second of the series even though it’s written last. 🤔

When i started this series i really didn’t expect much. I had just finished a great book and this was son my to read list of free books i had gotten along the way. Sometime with free books it’s hit or miss and nothing about the description on any of these 4 books made me feel like it would be a big “WOW! 🤩 “. Three of the four i got for free and only had to pay for one of them. So seamed like a win. Also they were much shorter then my normal books and i like a bigger book because its more for my money. I don’t want to pay for credit thats only 5-7 hrs and then pay the same for a 23hr book. So I normally don’t even pick shorter books but again 75% free book series and time to listen so win/win.

Both Trip and Layla are great people with family baggage. So they don’t just take things as face value because they are trying to play it safe in order to not get hurt. ( i am sure a lot of us can relate) Also i think especially Layla has things to prove. She doesn’t want to be like her parents and she want so show that she is so much more so once she has her mind set on her plan she can not imagine deviating in anyway even though she knows in her heart of heart what she wants.
Trip loved her basically from the second he met her but he is a good boy from a “good” family and he is patient and in the end he is trying to do whats best for her or what he thinks is best and he is a bit unsure whats next for himself and doesn’t want to pull her down while he works it out. So he lets her go but they don’t ever actually let go. They keep writing letters, they think of each other often, they hold back from any really real thing deep in their hearts till one day their lives collide back together, and they discover that they’ve loved each other the whole time and then they have to figure out how to navigate this whole new world because they’re both adults now. It’s no longer teenage love. They’re both famous in their own rights her not quite as much, but he’s like the most famous guy in the world and they have to figure out how to navigate with all the stuff in between now admitting the second book of the series had me screaming out loud. I was in the car driving and I was screaming. What are you doing? Why are you being stupid and I couldn’t wait to get to the next book I just had to know what happened and the book was so good. This is just a really nice story of peoples lives. Not too goopy not too oversexed not too sad. Just a nice flowing story.

The narrators were fabulous. They really did a good job punctuating when they needed to. They did a good job, emphasizing feelings for each character and how heart wrenching some things were, and how exciting other things were the voices match the characters and match their age it was really great good experience .

For have a 75% free book series this is definitely going on my favorites list and i will definitely be reading it more then once.

Off to the next great book 📖

Top painful.

I felt sick after reading this book and I'm sorry that I finished. It's Trip's point of view and left me without hope that he and Layla will ever come together in a happy ending. Trip is different in this book with his feelings, attitudes and integrity. He randomly hooks up with other women when he's not speaking to Layla and the transitions between scene changes were awkward. I've read the whole series and, although it was heartbreaking, the same story through Trip's eyes was brutal.
As always, Teddy Hamilton did a tremendous job with the narration!
