About this listen

I spent my whole life thinking that magic had passed me by. Boy, was I wrong.

Becoming an uber-powerful witch overnight isn't nearly as much fun as it sounds. Controlling unfamiliar magic is hard. Really, really hard.

Adding to the level of difficulty is the fact that dead bodies keep showing up. Okay, so there's only been two so far, but in a small town like Wind's Crossing, that's a lot. Our town doesn't have all that many living people either.

At least this time it isn't my family the police have in their crosshairs. Unfortunately, that isn't the good news you'd think it is.

This time the prime suspects are my good friends Mabel Morgan and Tommy Hill.

And no way am I letting them take the fall.

Good series.

I really enjoyed the books, thus far, and look forward to reading/listening to more! Keep them coming.

Like to listen to the rest of the series!

Light, which cosy. Really would like to listen to remaining books in the series as I have lots of drive time and enjoy the light reads on the journey. Sure cuts down on road rage! : )

Ohhhhhh

I have to say right up front, I so prefer Angie as the sole narrator. Awesome!

Another good listen. With fun kitties. Tempered the bits that took me back to unhappy memories. Good family bits helps, too.

The ending made me sad, I didn't want that person to be the baddie. I had started to suspect it tho. Darn. It was only the last 10 minutes or less that was a true downer.

Un-Familiar Magic

This series is really becoming one of my favorites. Amie’s attraction to Opie (Trevor) Taylor is really blossoming but so is her powerful magic as a Light Witch. Opie seems more open to accepting that now as their paths cross more frequently when they try to solve a serial murder. As Amie learns more about her magic, she is visited by the Goddess who enlists her help along with a few other witches to be secret guardians for good. The Goddess predicts changes are coming but doesn’t explain the meaning of that. Amie learns more about her family which gives her better insight into understanding her family members. She & Opie solve the murders that have been going on. I like the development of the characters & can hardly wait for Book 4!
