Needed More

This is a great story and the narrator's did a fabulous job, I just wish we could have heard more from the male lead and a little less of the female lead.

A little Unrealistic 🫤

But still, an entertaining story. Cory had anger issues. The bank scene was like hmmmm, really??? 🫤. Quite funny how he kept getting upset with reregards to their relationship when he was well aware that he was the one messing with an engaged woman. And he loved her & put his life on the line for her hours after they'd just met 🙄. Going back & forth between his ex & his engaged women. And Drew, ok the relationship should've ended early on...even though he was ok with the situation. But then Cory shows up @ their party, because once again he has to go back with his tail between his legs & ask for help. Whether she was going to break it off or not, that was disrespectful. Female narration, not the greatest with male voices. Like I said, entertaining story nonetheless.

An emotional and powerful romance

This book! Ugh this is so good. Emma Scott is so underrated she writes the most angsty and emotional romances. Her writing is so beautiful and easy to get lost in. Her romances are so well developed and they have a strong plot. I’ve enjoyed every book I’ve read from her and this was no different.

This is about Alex and Cody people who are at the wrong place at the wrong time. They become hostages in a bank robbery and they help each other survive. The heroine is a bad ass lawyer who is engaged (there is cheating). And the hero is a single dad who works in construction.

They go through so much in that back and they help each other survive. A strong connection and bond is formed between that as a result. However, after they survive it’s hard for them to get back to their real lives. This was an intense story at times but it was such a great story. I cannot wait to continue reading more from her backlists!

CW: cheating, violence, gun violence, ptsd

So good!!!

This was such a great story! Entertaining and romantic. About a woman and a man held up in a bank robbery. They had an instant attraction to one another. The problem was, she was engaged to a man she had been with for 6 years. Her fiancé lacked the passion she so desired. He avoided physical relations by working non stop. She had hard decisions to make and chose wisely in the end. I liked that asexuality was addressed in this book. Highly recommend.
