More of the same

Pretty much like book one. Betsy is still sarcastic. Too descriptive sex scenes, don't add to the story. Still a lot of fun.

Funny Turned Annoying (series)

Any additional comments?

I've read many vampire books and I'm always looking for a good series. When I read the first book in this series I thought it was hysterical. I laughed out loud many times at Betsy's rants and witty comebacks. The second book in the series was easily my favorite and I fell in love with other characters like Mark.

But by the third book I found myself fast forwarding past the rants I use to find funny. The main character Betsy just starts to become extremely annoying. The constant "poor me" rants and whining started to drive me crazy. I only made it to book 7 before I couldn't take what the main character had turned into anymore.

I don't regret the first couple credits I burned on this series and if you're still digging it by book 3 you may just end up liking the whole series. Enjoy it for the mindless entertainment.

I love Betsy, she is so sassy and I really enjoy this series. I can't wait to listen to the other ones.

Quirky Vampire Queen

Not great but likably good for an offbeat Vampire series. The characters interaction is entertaining enough to keep me coming back for more. Enjoy!

Yes, this series is fun!

I have almost completed the entire series and because I just keep starting the next one, my reviews are getting behind. The banter is funny and Betsy is so self-centered that you can't help but love her. The narrator is excellent and keeps the book alive.
Be sure you read the books in order, or you could get lost on the references.
What a fun and humorous read!

My new "lol" Undead series

I laughed so often and out loud that I am sure people observing me walking in this 115 degree heat think I am delirious! I live in the desert area, and turned to audio downloads to motivate me to get out and walk day and night in the intense summer heat. This is a fun series...I love the narrator and the writing is so clever, such a good pace, and just enough steam to get a few hot blushes! I am onto #3

Just ok to me....

Is there anything you would change about this book?

Not that I can think of off. It just didn't keep my attention.

If you’ve listened to books by MaryJanice Davidson before, how does this one compare?

I enjoyed the first book much more. The heroin seemed much to valley-girlish.

What aspect of Nancy Wu’s performance would you have changed?

Nancy still cracks me up. I did enjoy her performance. Just the story was just "eh".

If this book were a movie would you go see it?

Not likely... Maybe if it was on DVD.

the joy continues!

MaryJane Davidson and Nancy Wu, what an amazing team, a brilliant author and a brilliant performer. no way can we ask for more. this is turning out to be an absolutely incredible series, so funny, such a joy. I love Betsy, especially when she lets loose a stream of expletives because she truly has no idea what it means to be the queen of the vampires. thank you MaryJane and Nancy.

Much better narration

Maybe I’m getting used to her reading style, or maybe it was second book confidence. But the narration by Nancy Wu was so much better in this second book.

Excellent Humerous Vampire Series

I just love this series it is so enjoyable. It isn't really a serious book it is more humerous than anything. The main character has a great personality and I just love the characters in the book. The narrator does a fabulous job. I plan on listening to all of them eventually. I wait till they go on sale because they are not very long books I would rather not waste a credit on short books.
