Comprehensive overview!
This book left no stone unturned, everything from gear to terrain, weather and mindset. It even gave pause for “conservation hacks” to give different ideas on how to remain sustainable in your running practice. But the in depth review of even how to pace your steps and fuel your body we quite detailed. Following these recommendation will surely get you closer to your ultrarunner self!

I Can Be An Ultrarunner!
I've read several ultrarunner books and this one was great! It's full of practical advice and tips for preparing properly. You're not going to just go out and run 50+ miles, but this book showed me the exact steps to take to prepare, get the proper mindset, find other ultra runners, proper nutrition, etc. There is so much covered in this book and I consider it an excellent and entertaining handbook to get into this sport safely. I look forward to all these amazing adventures just like the author! It even turns out you can get into this as a way to travel internationally and to see the world! WOW. I love this. I definitely recommend this book!

Great motivation for runners
In my younger years, I often used to run and even was part of the track team at one point, but I never considered running ultramarathons. I'm not a fast runner, but long distances worked for me. It was interesting to listen to this book, which is a great guide to trail running for beginners especially. The techniques and strategies the author shared are useful and helpful. Answered all my questions and then some
I found this book at the perfect time. I'm turning 40 this year and really hit me how I want to start taking better care of myself. I decided I was going to run the Indianapolis mini marathon. I've never been a runner before (I actually HATED it when I was younger), but I have a good friend who ran the Mini the last few years and he had great things to say about it. So I'm going for it. I've been training for the last few months (started out very slow). But now I'm at the point where I can run a 5k and as I start pushing that farther I'm having so many more questions. Specifically, what should I eat? I now know from experience what and when I SHOULDN'T eat (suuuuuch an upset stomach), but I didn't really know what I should eat. This book answered my question and then some. I am now much more prepared for running. I wish I had this book earlier. It would have saved me a lot of upset tummies!
