Just what I needed
As a former college athlete, and had been feeling in the dumps between work, battle with booze lack of athletic challenges over the years. It was interesting to come across this book as I had started making a change for myself. This was not recommended or handed to me, literally stumbled across it and the gods did their work. I needed this and thanks Rich for sharing your story. It’s not like it caused me to change, it showed up when I needed it.

Incredible story of overcoming addiction and achieving elite athleticism!
I love how the Rich tells his story and uses it not toot his own horn but to show how his success in overcoming alcoholism and improving his health can be translated to anyone. He also has a very healthy relationship with exercise and nutrition, though from a surface perspective it could be perceived as another unhealthy addiction. However, after delving deep into the book, you learn that his approaches to self-improvement can be quite healthy, holistic, practical and effective for anyone.

Thanks for being so open, Rich
This book was extremely impactful in my life. I put it in my top 3 life-changing books. It helped me tackle a couple of demons and it motivated me to make changes in my diet and to start going further on the trail and on the bike. These changes have influenced my family, particularly my kids, in such a positive way. What I appreciated above all else was Rich’s vulnerability and willingness to open up. Pass this one on to a friend or family member who needs to make a change or just about anyone in the middle stages of life who is craving inspiration.

Rich is a great storyteller.
