About this listen
Become a super dad-to-be and enjoy every minute of it without getting overwhelmed.
There are more than 70 million dads in the United States, and soon you’ll be joining their ranks as a first-time father.
However, becoming a new dad can be a roller coaster ride of joyful anticipation and fearful moments for most men.
Do you worry about not knowing what to expect, let alone how to respond?
Do you feel uneasy about the changes your partner goes through, wondering if she’s safe, healthy, and comfortable?
Are you often scared that something could go wrong with the pregnancy?
And what about preparing for the baby’s arrival? What actual preparations should you be doing?
It doesn’t help that most resources you’ll find on the subject are geared toward mothers-to-be.
While that’s perfectly logical and understandable, it doesn’t help with the fact that a nervous dad-to-be also needs all the right advice he can get.
But that’s about to change for you right now, with the helpful guidance offered by this audiobook.
In this timely audiobook for first-time fathers, you’ll uncover a wealth of practical wisdom. Inside, you will discover:
- How to be physically, mentally, emotionally, and financially ready for parenthood.
- What to expect and do during each phase of pregnancy, because your role is pivotal.
- Habits you need to stop promptly because they are harmful to your partner’s and unborn baby’s health.
- How to understand and respond to the physical changes and emotional cycles your spouse goes through while she’s pregnant.
- Top tips for helping her ease constant discomforts like bloating, nausea, and so on.
- How her self-image might get affected negatively during this period, and five powerful ways of helping her cope.
- Why it’s important to maintain closeness and intimacy in unique ways during pregnancy.

Story
Mayim Bialik was the child star of the popular 1990s TV sitcom Blossom, but she definitely didn't follow the typical child-star trajectory. Instead, Mayim got her Ph.D. in neuroscience from UCLA, married her college sweetheart, and had two kids. Mayim then did what many new moms do - she read a lot of books, talked with other parents, and she soon started questioning a lot of the conventional wisdom she heard about the "right" way to raise a child. That's when she turned to attachment parenting.

Great Resource!
I just had my second child and I wish I had found this book when I had my first child. This book does a great job of making the complicated and confusing process of being a first-time dad during the 9-10 months of pregnancy and the months that follow. I also love the titles of each chapter.

Highly Recommended For Every First Time Dad!
This audiobook was jam packed, thorough and filled with so much information on the stages of pregnancy from an experienced dad’s viewpoints... what a first time father should expect, and how he should interact with and support his pregnant wife. The author is a father of multiple children and was there for his wife each step of the way with each pregnancy. He knows what he’s talking about. First time dads, go ahead and grab a copy of this audiobook. Oh by the way, I highly recommend that you also get a copy of the paperback on Amazon too because this should be sitting along with your other books at home on your bookshelf.

Great book for expecting Dad!
As a Father, I wished I would have had this book when we were pregnant. When I say we, I actually mean her :). This is a very helpful book! I love the chapter on sex and the inevitable of being horny as a Dad. You actually dealt with an important topic.

Truly a complete guide to pregnancy
I thoroughly enjoyed the way the author describes week to week what to expect throughout the pregnancy. Too bad this wasn’t available 40 years ago.
A very pleasurable and complete book. Its not just for Dad’s but for anyone going through pregnancy with a friend or loved one even for the first time new mom. I learned a lot about the growing baby and what a true miracle conception really is.
I would highly recommend this book to any newly pregnant woman or soon to be Dad to understand what a blessing pregnancy really is. The fact we can have a child is truly a miracle as this book sows and describes how life begins with conception.

I wish this book was available before my child.
This was an entertaining audible book, very well done and It shows you month by month what is happening, so you as a new dad know exactly what to do or how to react to each situation, every month. man, I wish this book was available before my kid was born. It would had helped me out so much and saved so many headaches for me and my wife both.

jam packed and informative
A well-versed guide to being a first-time dad. Jam-packed with everything you'd need to know, especially the crucial bits, like being there for your partner. We often overlook the emotional support that is necessary and this book highlights the key things very well.

A must for any dad - not just the virgin dad
Virgin Dad is a book that would have helped me immensely if I had read it the first time around. As someone who is about to become a dad again, this book has provided me with tons of tips. Chapter 6 (I Felt The Kick) was of one of my favorite chapters. This chapter helped me to understand the importance of exercise during pregnancy, such as having my wife take a brisk walk everyday. Whether you're a first time dad or a veteran dad, I strongly recommend this book.
