It's not what you think

(As posted in Goodreads)

I'm currently read-reading the second book of the series, but this was available on audible plus to listen to, so I did.
The two books are totally unrelated, which I appreciate, because it's nice to know that the one I'm reading does not depend on the one I was listening to AFTER I was invested in the second, but it was a good story. I'm not convinced that it really required an entire book, but it was a nice diversion. It really is nice when the characters you like come out on top :)

Couldn’t stop listening

The story was gripping to the very end. A believable storyline that’s like a bad nightmare.

It was okay

I thought this was a decent read. I can't pinpoint what was missing to make this perfect but it was still pretty good. The narrator did a great job

Secrets always come out

We all have secrets, or at least we think we do. This book will have you wondering if we’ve actually kept them secret and what you don’t know about the people around you. Chelsea Stephens draws you into this captivating story.

WOW THE SURPRISES

This story is full of twists and turns and it's not always easy to be sure who the good guys are. I couldn't turn it off, listened straight through! For those who like to be on the edge of your seat, this is the story!

Awful

This book is so so bad. She is so distraught with her husband dying yet flirting. Can’t even finish

not plausible

as a widow I find it offensive how the author thought a widow would move in in a week. I have no interest in finishing past that.

Deeply condescending and out dated

This book has oversimplified, 1
dimensional characters and is wholly unrealistic. The outdated gender roles are cringeworthy. The over explaining insults the reader’s intelligence. I kept trying giving it more of a chance but I just couldn’t handle it anymore after the first love scene.
