About this listen

Against all odds, Althea Zoltaire emerged from her trials as a champion. Now, she must train even harder and prepare herself to become a true warrior of Thezmarr.

But Thea’s world is turned upside down as she struggles to navigate her newfound magic and uncover the secrets of her past. Slowly, she begins to untangle the truth about her family, her powers, and the evil that threatens to engulf the kingdom.

When Wilder Hawthorne returns to be her official mentor, everything changes. Dark forces are gathering, and he will stop at nothing to prepare her for the challenges to come, even if it means breaking her.

As war looms and their quest for answers leads master and apprentice deeper into danger, the undeniable connection between them intensifies—defying all odds, but also threatening to tear them apart.

With secrets unravelling and evil closing in, Thea and Wilder fight to save the world and each other. The fate of the realms rests in their hands. Will they emerge victorious, or will the darkness consume them both?

Full of action, adventure, and steamy romance, Vows & Ruins is the second book in the spellbinding epic romantic fantasy series The Legends of Thezmarr.

so many Spicy scenes in this one!

The story is really good, but the amount of smut, was a bit too much for me.
the story about their relationship and the kingdom, was really intriguing.

The main lead female determination and focus to accomplish her ultimate goal.

I dislike the numerous explicit sex dramas. I did the entire male military acknowledged and eventually accepted the lead female as part of their regiment.

Slow moments

Definitely a good read, however it was really really hard to get through the center of this book. There is a lot of unnecessary romance like a lot.

Furies that was epic

First let’s talk about,“Hold on to the rail”! This book is definitely scorching with romance (open door scenes). If you liked ACOSF this similar.
The Romance:Thea and Wilder are fighting the lines of mentor/mentee vs wanting to be lovers. Wilder cannot resist her, right!?. Not after what went down in book 1! Well really they can’t resist each other, but come on Thea really? Friends?! (Rolling my eyes). However, there is a lot of miscommunication between characters this time around, and too many secrets are being held. Betrayals are bound to happen.
The Fantasy/Plot: Anyways, the story does continue with Thea’s training and her skills have now amplified with her new powers unlocked, resulting in her becoming a fierce confident badass. Evil is stirring and talk of the Daughter of Darkness and a Shadow Prince are rising. There is more exploration of the realm, talks about different magic, and introductions to monsters and blights that Guardians and Warswords are to defeat. Oh and the Veil is become weaker and armies may be assembling 😏 Hope Thea and Wren can figure out those suppressed powers soon.
Thoughts at the end…. Ohhhhh snap!!! I had a feeling there was something else going on. Oh the betrayal! I told you! Love the twist at the end. I’m not even mad really. I’m rubbing my hands together ready for more in book 3. Oh this is going to be so good. Also, the very very end gave me LOTR vibes 😍

Loving this series!

Really have enjoyed this series so far! The characters are strong and the world is interesting. Thea the FMC is truly bad-a$$. There is some good spice for romance lovers. Looking forward to listening to the next book! I do wish it was recorded in duet narration.

Guardians of Thezzmer

Lots of action; great story!! Characters well developed but not a litany of details to bog things down, but enough to build characters and a continuation of the series.

Spicy and tough women and battles

Overall I liked this book. The spiciness sometimes was a bit much because it was just there to be there and not a pivotal part of the story.
The battle scenes were great and needed more of those.
Thea is a bit immature and I kept forgetting she was in her mid 20’s and not a teenager which is how she was acting.
The plot twist was interesting and not expected so I’m interested to see where that goes in the next book.
