I didn't like the narrator. Macleod Andrew created iconic voices for the characters from the start. I found it hard to follow with different voices for the same characters.

Great storyline as usual

the narrator was OK but I like McLeod Andrews and why was jayfether was suddenly British?the blood in water was like so unclear.

Good

I never really liked Bramble star. Not just because he is very annoying, (though really, I HATE Squirellflight) but because in this one he sounded like an idiot! I didn’t like the voicing either. Jayfeather was all like british rasp thing. The old narrator was better.
But, hey! Other than that it’s a really cool book! It really fills in some gaps!
I highly recomend this book.

To be blunt, I hated the warrior series before my friend who is a superfan and had read all the books multiple times as well as all of Erin Hunters other books Seekers ect. So, she got me into warriors and now. THE BEST. PERIOD. READ THE SERIES. So yeah.

Anyway, I do highly recommend this. Even if Jayfeather sonds like he has a brittish rasp for a voice

P.S. No offense to the guy who was voicing the characters.

Really good

Overall i really feel like the plot here was pretty lacking and dull, especially following the dramatic climax of the previous series. Basically just Bramble having a hard time adjusting to being leader despite having been a steller deputy for years?? and being conveniently nearby every time someone's in trouble. but there's some pretty good scenes in there too, as well as character/relationship development. it also bridges the gap between Omen of the Stars and The Fourth Apprentice.

once you finish the book, i highly recommend visiting your local book store to read the manga short in the back of the book. it's really interesting and any warriors fan will love it.

Bridges the gap

Good story but the change in narration was jarring especially Jayfeather's accent - suddenly British?

another good warriors story

Andrew’s was better. Jayfeather was suddenly British which was a change for the worse. And I can’t tell but was Bramblestar cheating?!?!

New narrator? Is Bramblestar cheating??

So good I just finished it the 5th time!never thought much of bramble star till this, and bramblestar really explains his thoughts!so good I highly recommend it

Amazing!

I’m used to Mcleod Andrews’s adaptation of the Warrior’s series, so there was some getting used to for that. In particular, I really didn’t like Jayfeather’s and Graystripe’s voices.

For the story aspect: I love Bramblestar and missed hearing a POV from him after TNP. This is a great story that tells of his struggles to be his own leader. Recommend.

Wonderful Story for one of my favorite warrior cats!

The book was okay but kinda of annoying with bringing Jessy into the mix she’s almost exactly like Squirrelflight.. I do think it’s a good book to read before the next series as it takes place after Firestar died and shows early Bramblestar leadership and does a better job at filling the gaps in some of the deaths between the Great Battle and the next series. But someone please seriously take over for Kirby I can’t stand listening to the audiobooks with him it puts me to sleep and I find myself getting bored with him.

Bring back Andrews!!!!
