Publisher's summary

Maggie Davidson lives in fear after being robbed on the street outside her office. But the trauma has only just begun, and now she must face her attacker in court. A chance encounter with a beautiful woman in the courthouse café is the only bright spot in her day, until she finds out just who the woman is.

Ally Becker has always been her brother’s hero, and she’s at the courthouse to support him as he faces up to his mistakes. When she discovers that the stranger she shared coffee with is actually Maggie, the victim of her brother’s crime, she is torn between family loyalty and an attraction she can’t seem to forget.

Maggie and Ally have absolutely no intention of falling in love, but what they find in each other just might heal them both.

Good book!

Overall, decent book! It was somewhat difficult subject matter hut the author did a good job wading thru muddy waters. The narrator was good but I found myself confused a couple of times trying to distinguish between the different characters. Otherwise, the book was decent.

Sweet romance

I heard the author read from this in Ptown and was excited to get my hands on it the story is well written and has good character development I liked Ally the most she had a realistic vibe about her and I could see myself having her as a friend. Maggie on the other hand seemed to be a tad too much for me I feel that his story could of gone in so many different directions and it would of been interesting to see some of if happen like exploring Charlie’s character she seemed hot and would of made a nice side story all in all it was a sweet romance and I recommend this to any one that is a fab of the author

There Was No Story

I don't know how how I managed to get to the end of this book. It was so uneventful and boring. The blurb (summary) is literally all there is to the book. Only about 1 thing happens after that. For the next couple hours after the first chapter Nothing but teased romance and poorly built up sexual tension.

Good?
The exploration of trauma. Maggie suffered from a high level of anxiety and paranoia throughout the book. Although I found it a bit confusing why being robbed at gunpoint caused intimacy issues I did like the execution of her anxiety.

The discussion on Guns and how easy the process is to get a hold of a gun.
