About this listen
A new dad’s guide, from birth day to birthday.
The pregnancy’s over and the baby’s here…what’s a dad supposed to do? Put your other new dad books away - We’re Parents! is going to help you be the best dad (and partner) you can be.
Wondering how to burp your newborn? Not sure how to get them to try solids? Desperate to get them to sleep? Adrian Kulp (a four-time dad himself) offers fast, fun, and easy-to-digest advice that other new dad books don’t, making it simple for you to step up and do your part as a brand-new dad.
Go beyond most new dad books:
- Supportive and helpful - Get the scoop on what it’s like to be a father from someone who’s been there and knows exactly what you need to hear.
- Quick advice - Key childcare tips are broken into short, convenient guides - unlike other new dad books, there’s no reading an entire textbook just to change a diaper.
- The big moments - Track your baby’s development at a glance with charts that lay out the most important milestones in one place.
Who needs other new dad books when you have the expert guidance of We’re Parents! at hand?

Story
Numerous apps and books exist to help expectant parents understand their baby’s development by comparing their unborn child to a raspberry or a stalk of broccoli, but Taylor Calmus takes issue with that. First off, your baby is not some wimpy little vegetable. Your baby is like a hardcore little lug nut who is straight-up growing organs on a weekly basis. Second, how big is a stalk of broccoli? And what the heck even is a kumquat? Clearly this situation calls for a better approach. Enter . . . A Dude’s Guide to Baby Size.

Mayim Bialik was the child star of the popular 1990s TV sitcom Blossom, but she definitely didn't follow the typical child-star trajectory. Instead, Mayim got her Ph.D. in neuroscience from UCLA, married her college sweetheart, and had two kids. Mayim then did what many new moms do - she read a lot of books, talked with other parents, and she soon started questioning a lot of the conventional wisdom she heard about the "right" way to raise a child. That's when she turned to attachment parenting.

Her life might seem like a fairy tale from afar, but four years after her picture-perfect Hawaiian marriage to Laird, Gabrielle filed for divorce. In the end, the couple worked it out, but My Foot Is Too Big for the Glass Slipper tells the unvarnished and often hilarious tale of the turbulent ups and downs that beset every wife and mother - even the women like Gabrielle who seem to have it all.

Really good quick first book
This was a very useful first book for me to read, and reread, and could use to come back to. Lots of useful basic information, while still engaging enough. Had to read on 1.20x, the most of any audible book I’ve had, but still sounded in rhythm.

Definitely Worth it
I really enjoyed it and will be using it to skip back and forth in the coming months.
Lots of useful information, but written basically enough to enjoy listening.

Pass, opinions vs a helpful resource
Seems to be very disorganized: listened before baby came and after but didn’t get much from the content. There are way too many repetitive theories. The recaps before the chapter are completely unnecessary. This man has many opinions and stories but no real solutions or research to help a struggling parent. Even the knowledge is just pretty basic and doesn’t go into depth as one might expect. ok for a free short listen

really too bad!
I got about 4 minutes in and I absolutely had to stop. it's really a shame because the content and the jokes ETC. seem to be really really good. I can imagine me reading this book and smiling and laughing because it was funny and it was clever The way it was written. but I'm listening to this as a book on tape. so the whole point of that experience is to be able to listen to it instead of reading a book. The narrator misses the mark on just about every sentence and while his voice was pleasant the experience for me was terrible and there was no way I was going to sit through four plus hours of this. I'm in the delivery room with my wife two days after our baby was born and I've looked at her a couple of times and we smiled and I took off my headphones and let her hear what I was talking about and she completely agreed. once again it's a shame because it seemed like this was going to be really good, there's just no way I was going to sit and cringe for the entire length of this book on tape. so I'm asking for my money back and I'm going to try a different book with hopefully a different experience and obviously a different narrator.

Can’t beat the first
Compared to the first book, and maybe the voice of the first narrator, this narration and book was a challenge to get through or understand. It wasn’t as exciting as the first and the voice that narrates I lose interest after a few minutes. I find myself having to rewind or start the chapter over just to catch what they’re trying to emphasize or state.
Some parts helpful but majority of book at least from what I’m hearing so far isn’t.
