About this listen

In Sherrilyn Kenyon and Dianna Love's Whispered Lies, a gutsy female agent from the B.A.D. (Bureau of American Defense) Agency must come out of hiding to bring down a secret organization that has become America's number-one threat.

Sherrilyn Kenyon's sensual and suspenseful novels featuring the agents from the sexy Bureau of American Defense offer plenty of satisfaction for listeners. In Whispered Lies, the agency intercepts an anonymous tip, and agent Carlos Delgado leads his team through a daring midnight mission to flush out the informant sought by every agency on the planet.

Victoria Tynte Saxe has spent the last 10 years hiding - from the criminals she snitches on, a threatening ex-husband, and her aristocratic family - using her electronic genius to share information on criminal activity with international intelligence agencies. But she made one critical mistake that exposed her identity and location to the very people from whom she's hiding.

When teenagers become pawns in a dangerous game that threatens to throw the US into financial and political chaos, Carlos makes the bold decision to team up with Victoria. Then it's a race against time to save the teens and protect America...before anyone dies from whispered lies.

Awesome stories

I really loved the stories . The narrator was great and I hope that there’ll be more BAD books in the future

like the series wish it intertwined prior couples

a good story line, lots of different accents in this story did ok keeping them apart.
wish the new stories would talk about the the couples in previous books.

Accent overload for a confusing, boring story

I liked this narrator far better than the one from the beginning of this series, but nearly every character had an accent of some sort causing a disco ball of audio in my head. Weirdly, Carlos was the one person without an accent, even though he had one in previous books. Worse: Gabrielle had a French accent and, while it was authentic sounding to me, it felt very stuck up princess. Thus, we had a man who didn’t sound like a Hispanic, rough around the edges former criminal turned sexy, dangerous B.A.D. agent and
a woman who didn’t sound like a desperate tech genius/fugitive. Together they gave zero chemistry.
The romance and sex was D.O.A.

On the thriller side, it was all very convoluted, with international crime lords, exes, powerful families … and so many connections to the MCs. Maybe it was me zoning out in boredom that had me stopping to ask, wait, you mean he’s connected to this person too?! Or, wait, so she’s a fugitive from that person too?! Or, how many informants is that now?!

This is a series built around an agency called B.A.D. - it should support campy, practically satirical James Bond style stories. This one, with its Venezuelan villains, international accents, and fantastical plot twists was made to be a telenovella. It’s criminal that it’s instead a long, dull, incoherent mess.

Bad yes that’s right

This was one of the worse stores I read from the Bad books.. I expected something better for Carlos. It made no sense at all at times it got boring and confusing. In Baal other books Carlos had a Spanish accent the narrator did a horrible job with him; but did better with that Lynnette character. The end was so stupid like Carlos would quit Bad. Don’t waste your time reading it was really really bad writing and narragation.

Nothing

this is the worst book written by you ever, it was convoluted and I was looking forward to hearing Carlos's story. All of the other BAD books was great but this one had too freakin much going on and the sex wasn't even good.
