About this listen

Mystery writer Kimberly Sawyer lives alone and likes it that way. But when she is threatened by a hooded figure, and a blood-red rose with a needle thrust into its heart is left on her doorstep, she knows she needs protection. So it seems like perfect timing when Napa Valley vineyard owner Darius Cavenaugh returns to Kimberly's life, offering help and a place to stay. But how did he know she needed him? Was it the deep, intuitive intimacy of a soulmate... or was it witchcraft?

As arrogant as Cavanaugh is, he at least has a personality, Kim??
Not your best in any category. I’d return it if I could return an already read book.

Kind of a let down

I enjoyed the storyline of this book, but the narration was a bit overplayed. too fake for the story to be as interesting as it was.

hmmm

This was not up to her usual story, it was very slow. Most of the story was about the relationship between the 2 main characters, very little action.

Not up to her usual.

I was unable to finish this book. It must be an earlier work of hers. Predictable and unable to hold my interest. Sorry I bought it.

Not able to finish it

I love Jane Ann Krentz, but this book was bad. From the beginning narration to the last sentence, I don’t know what she was thinking when she wrote it. It must’ve been a very early work. I’m sorry, but it was just difficult to finish. I wish I had passed it up. Definitely was not worth the credit. I wish I could get those hours back, but once I start some thing, I have a horrible need to finish it.

She will remain one of my favorite authors, and I look forward to reading other works of hers in the future.

So glad it’s over

This is what I thought about the “hero” all the way through the book. I would have kicked this guy to the curb by chapter 3. This is obviously one of Krentz’s early works. I don’t recommend it unless you are into arrogant, controlling men.

What an arrogant pig

What would have made Witchcraft better?

The male character was a bore, arrogant beyond likability.

What could Jayne Ann Krentz have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

Make it more realistic.

How did the narrator detract from the book?

NA

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

It had a good storyline but the characters were too trusting, too unreal,

Boring
