About this listen

Roping horses leads to riding cowboys in this sexy friends-to-lovers, fake-dating, lessons-in-seduction romance by Jessica Peterson.

Wyatt Rivers is the perfect no-strings hookup—a cowboy Casanova who rocks a Stetson, looks smokin' hot in his Wranglers, and never rests his head on the same pillow twice. He's exactly what I'm looking for. If only Wyatt wasn't also my best friend…

I'm back in my hometown of Harstville, Texas for a few months while I wait for my dream job to start thousands of miles away. While I'm here, I hope to end an epic dry spell in the bedroom, preferably with a local cowboy. If the rumors are true, they really do ride harder and stay on longer.

Wyatt and I have been best friends since second grade, and I've been in love with him for almost as long. But he's as wild and untamed as a colt that can't be broken—not to mention, totally out of my league with his good looks and heartbreaker reputation.

Then I get to thinking: since Wyatt is such an expert, why doesn't he teach me the ropes of how to find a hookup? He begrudgingly agrees, and a little fake flirting suddenly leads to fake dating, which leads to real kissing, which leads to real…well, everything else.

And let me just say, the rumors are absolutely true.

Now, I want so badly to be Wyatt's last rodeo. But I'm leaving town, and even if I wasn't, I'm not sure Wyatt would ever change his playboy ways.

I know cowboys can't be tamed. Apparently, neither can hearts…

Wyatt is an interconnected standalone novel in the Lucky River Ranch series.

oh my gosh. I just love a second chance romance. Jessica Peterson did not disappoint. The connection between Sally and Wyatt is perfect. A friendship that bonds them more then they let on. Wyatt hiding behind a demeanor as the towns wild lover boy. Even though in reality. He is the towns most loving sweet heart who would do anything for those he loves especially Sally his best friend. I love how she interconnected Cash Lucky River Ranch book one into book two. John B just wanted the best for his daughter and Sally wants to live up to all those expectations. Wyatt encourages Sally to do anything she wants because she is capable of it all. As a true friend should.
Big life decisions are scary to make but it makes it easier when you have family and friends like Sally does. I cant wait to read the next one and get back on the saddle with Sawyer.

Wyatt and Sally have been besties forever—both secretly in love, both thinking the other’s out of their league (spoiler: they’re perfect for each other). When Sally rolls back into town from vet school, sparks finally fly, and it’s everything I hoped for! I’m a sucker for the “it’s always been you” trope, and this one totally nailed it—sweet, steamy, and full of those long-simmering looks. Bonus points for the Rivers brothers’ banter and brotherly chaos. I want to be adopted into this family immediately. If you love friends-to-lovers with heart, heat, and homey vibes, Wyatt is calling your name!

Talk about a fun listen! Jessica Peterson continues her Lucky River Ranch series and it's impossible not to fall in love with this one! Meet Wyatt. He has been Sally's best friend since childhood and when his parents were killed, there was a moment that he knew. She was the one. Sally has had it bad for Wyatt for years, but never wanting to ruin their friendship, and college kept her from acting on her feelings. But now she is home and she has a proposition for Wyatt. A relationship of convenience, not only to make other men jealous so she can get dates, but teach her how to be a good partner. Their feelings won't get in the way since neither knows the other has any, right? Fun! Fun! Fun! This is a blast! Full of all the feels, a friends to lovers story that just crawled right into my heart. Can't wait for more of those Lucky River Ranch men!

Stephen Dexter breaks out his Texan accent for this one, and he portrays Wyatt perfectly! From the frustration to the passion, he knows how to bring Wyatt alive. Lila Winters comes in as Sally. A bit confusion as she works through life decisions and feelings, she finds the perfect voice for Sally. Together, these two had my attention the entire time, and I loved it!

The perfect listen!

Wyatt and Sally were a great friends to lovers story! I don’t always like the trope, but this one was written so well. I loved the relationship evolution. While both had been pining for years, they both understood in a way that it wasn’t their time. He wanted her to accomplish all of her dreams. She thought he could never see her as more than a friend, but really she had to let him grieve and grow. They had that bit of right person wrong time. I really loved watching them come together. Their spicy rope scene was perfection! I will say there were times when I felt it was slow moving, but other than that no complaints for me!

I love cowboys, especially the tie down ropers. MAN, those are some strong men. I was enthralled with Sally and Wyatt from page one, especially when voiced by Lila Winters and Stephen Dexter. These two were fabulous voice actors for these two sweetest friends that fell in love young, but weren’t ready for forever. I loved the “teach me” vibes, and their 20+ year friendship chemistry added so much great banter. Definitely pick this one up if you love friends to lovers and cowboys!
