Good information

Great basic information to get you started. I loved how they talked about epigenetics! Didn't totally agree with the nutrition recommendations (low fat dairy?), but everything seemed VERY helpful!

Mind Blowing

I am 29, and have earned my MA. My husband and I are just a couple of months away from trying to get pregnant. Chapter after chapter, this book told me hundreds of things that I never knew. We both enjoyed listening and will walk away with a lot of knowledge that we didn't know about before listening.

A Good Read if You are Having a Child

This book was well written. I felt like I had a good grasp of what to expect when having a baby just by reading this book. I think the only point I'd like to make is that the book left me a little worried and burdened about giving birth. Maybe I just wasn't ready to hear everything like it is. But I have to say that when I read Jenny McCarthy's book her humor made me lose any fear. Perhaps I just need a little more humor when it comes to something that makes me nervous.

Very educational

I didn't think I would get too much out of this book but I couldn't have been any more work. I definitely learned a great deal from this and I would highly recommend this book for those about to have a baby!

Informative and Simple

This is a good listen if you are having a child. I wish there were more information about the post baby birth part.

Great medical information

Any additional comments?

Book gives you great information on what is going on medically and what to expect. Dr Oz is greta to listen to but the other guy is kind of annoying. He pronunceates every word and his "L's" sound like "W's". Kinda hard to listen to after a while. It makes it more obvious when they switch back and forth. Dr Oz is genuine and enthusiastic and the other guy is slow, boring and excentuates and gets excited in random spots. Otherwise, great info.

Very informative!

I enjoyed listening to this book and thought the delivery (no pun intended) was very well done. It covers all the bases and helps prepare you for the ride of a lifetime.

Was a pretty good book. Parts were funny and the narrator was easy to listen to. Going to have my hubby read it too!

I'm not the baby

Would you try another book from Michael F. Roizen and Mehmet C. Oz and/or Michael F. Roizen and Mehmet C. Oz ?

No

What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?

We were about to start trying for a baby and I liked the information in the book - especially about how the experience in utero affects gene expression, and the importance of having a healthy, low-stress lifestyle.

How could the performance have been better?

Don't talk to the audience as if we're 2 year olds getting read a bedtime story. The tone of voice of the narrators is what you'd expect if they were reading a nursery story to children. It was really annoying and borderline condescending.

Was YOU worth the listening time?

The information was good, but now way would I listen to it again. I'll read it myself if I want to remember something from the book.
