Loved the book. It was so informative and I learned a lot. It covered things I never have even thought about about before. Great tips and advice!

very informative

I loved the dietary and nutrition guidelines in the book! So far, it is guiding me on a super healthy pregnancy journey. 17 weeks right now. This is my second and I do have to leave one criticism. The breastfeeding advice is not great if you actually want to be successful. Having done extended breastfeeding, I feel I am knowledgeable and there were just a couple things she mentioned that were incorrect.

overall great usable advice!

"Yeah Baby!" has by far been my favorite "prepare for baby book"! I started it at the beginning of my second trimester and my only regret is that I didn't start it sooner! Jillian did a phenomenal job of just giving the facts so that as a mom, you can make the best decisions for you. While she did that, she expressed "no judgement" and still intertwined her own personal story, which is what kept me listening during every free minute I had - I wanted to continue to hear about her journey! This was definitely a "softer" side to Jillian, and although I was terrified at first that I would be hounded about nutrition and exercise, that was not the tone at all. Those things were all encouraged, but it really came down to taking care of yourself and doing what's best for you! I HIGHLY recommend to all new (or repeat) mamas out there! Thanks, Jillian!

My favorite "prepare for baby" book!

I read this book at the start of my second pregnancy as I did want to have a healthier (read less fat) pregnancy. I found that a lot of her recommendations, although probably sound, did not take into account real life constraints e.g. the cost of refurbishing your house with low VOC emitting everything... Hence she kind off lost me at getting my house paint tested for lead, but I kept reading and overall I thought it was a positive book, but probably only practical if you are the stay at home wife of a celebrity.

Good advice if not a bit extreme

Would you listen to Yeah Baby! again? Why?

Yes. There is soon much information in this book and it's very easy to listen to as well as the least judgement book I have listened too.

What did you like best about this story?

It's pretty much just the facts and there is no judgement.

What about Jillian Michaels’s performance did you like?

It was very relatable and she didn't sound like a robot reading the book.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

No

Any additional comments?

It is a great book. I enjoyed listening to it.

I agree with the review: 'Good advice if not a bit extreme'
It is a bit much...if you're a pretty healthy person, I would imagine you have a grip on a balanced diet and curbing cravings. As far as the environmental considerations (like the VOCs etc), get a few house plants, open a window and do not live in fear. It's just not practical unless you have mega amounts of money. And don't forget, babies have been born in dire times...war, depressions-- you don't need a bunch of small worries niggling at you.You are already strong enough.

Some interesting information but over the top

I had never seen or heard the author before, and I'm not much into fitness, so I was a bit skeptical, but I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Now I'm interested in hearing more from her! The book is broken down for each of the 4 trimesters and includes health, fitness, environment, etc. So much info given! and plenty of laugh out loud moments. I really felt connected to her experience, which was extremely comforting.

I loved this book!

Good information to hear, and love the attitude Jillian takes towards pregnancy and being a parent!

Good information

The advise and expectations set an impossible standard for any pregnant woman. She claims not go judge but the wording throughout is laiden with judgments, presumptions and criticism. I was hoping for something uplifting and inspiring to help motivate me to get exercising. That is not what I got. This is just painfully boring and absurd.

Rediculous anxiety driven nonsense
