Publisher's summary

No one in their right freaking mind ever said midlife was magical.

Apparently it is.

Or at least mine is....

Once upon a time, there was a paranormal-romance author who caught her husband in a compromising position. One divorce later, she’s free and ready to start her new life at 42.

Right?

Wrong.

Divorced idiot ex: Check

Saved idiot ex from getting murdered by his new nasty gal pal: check

Idiot ex accused me of trying to kill him: umm...check

Still seeing my fictional characters: check

Teeny-tiny crush on my lawyer: check, check

Town under siege by dark forces: Of course

Crazy enough to try and stop it: You bet

With the darkness on the horizon, I need to clear my name and get to work. Forming a Goodness Army is on the top of the list. Shockingly, my army consists of my wacky-tabacky-smoking aunt, my high school counselor who can shift into a house cat, the town gossip who turns invisible after downing five beers, and a few fabulous others with nefarious talents. And of course, a cast of fictional characters...who I created and definitely have an opinion on how I should proceed.

What could possibly go wrong?

I’m going on pure gut instinct at this point, and I can’t wait to see how the plot turns out.

I may be wrong. I may be write. Either way, I’ll just keep turning the pages until I find my happily-ever-after.

Humor at it's finest

I love how the series is accurate to our age and functions, but with so many twists. The story line is constantly changing so you can guess, but leaves you craving more. Always hope for good ju ju.

The Voice

love the story but, I may have to switch over and read the rest of the series...I truly don't care for the voices of the characters. All of the women sound old and half of them sound alike.

Great series

I have really enjoyed the first two books in this series. The characters are a lot of fun and the narrator does a wonderful job. I wish they didn't end on a bit of a cliffhanger, but it definitely makes me want to read the next book to find out what happens.

Too much sophomore humor

I still like the story, but this book had a lot of crude sophomore humor that just wasn't funny. It didn't add to the story. I still like the characters and care what happens to them. The other humor was fun.

Best Series in Awhile!!

I listened to both books in 2 days. I rarely listen twice but I would do that here. Paranormal Women’s Fiction rocks!

No I don’t “feel you”*

The first book was free and…cute. It was upbeat, creative and made you want to embrace your internal wackado. This second book could have easily been combined with the first. Except for the last few chapters, there’s no story here.
* The main character likes to say “do you feel me?” And every time the person she was talking to would ask if they could literally feel her. It was only cute the first time.
