Publisher's summary

Released from the magic pokey and paroled with limited power is enough to make any witch grumpy. However, if you throw in a recently resurrected cat, a lime-green Kia, and a sexy egotistical werewolf, it's enough to make a gal fly off the edge. Not to mention a mission...with no freaking directions. So here I sit in Asscrack, West Virginia, trying to figure out how to complete my mysterious mission before All Hallows Eve when I'll get turned into a mortal. The animals in the area are convinced I'm the Shifter Whisperer (whatever the hell that is) and the hotter-than- asphalt-in-August werewolf thinks I'm his mate. Now apparently, I'm slated to save a bunch of hairy freaks of nature? If they think I'm the right witch for the job, they've swallowed some bad brew.

Love!

If you could sum up Switching Hour: Magic and Mayhem Book One in three words, what would they be?

Laugh out loud

What about Stephanie Riggio’s performance did you like?

Perfect for Zelda.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Absolutely!

Any additional comments?

I've said it before (and I truly mean it), Robyn Peterman is seriously warped! Again she has created another messed up cast of characters that you'll fall in love with. Zelda has absolutely no filter, so everything out of her mouth will make you laugh! And Mac...not messed up, but seriously sexy. Lots of fun that leaves you wanting more, and more, and more.....

Fun

This is the second book by Robyn that I have read. I like this series and character best. Robyn has to be a fashionista because both characters love designer cloths, especially Prada. The “plot” meaning as much as you say plot, is very entertaining, and slightly more orgnial. After reading a book in each of her series, this is my favorite.

An interesting and fun story.

I enjoyed listening to this, my first book by this author and narrator. I enjoyed the narrator’s voice and thought she did a great job performing this book. I thought the story was pretty good, too but I admit that it was a bit more crass than I expected. I’m not saying this is a bad thing, it was just unexpected for some reason. I was certainly not expecting the surprise that happened near the end of the story.

All in all, I liked the characters and wouldn’t mind seeing what happens next.

too much swearing not a lot else

lots of swearing, very colorful characters, found myself listening with a type of morbid curiosity to see where it was going. kinda like a train wreck.

Good read

I fell in love with Baba Yaga, Baba Caca. Well, just the name. Good story line. Characters were interesting. Magic, death, loss, healing, family, friends, hot sex, shape shifters, witches. I listened through Audible. The narrator fit perfectly for this tale. I didn't like the she swore every ten seconds or so but if you can over look that this was an funny, scary, enlightening, enjoyable book.

Over all pretty good

Not blow you out of the water great but pretty good. I did buy the next in the series. A little predictable but most cozy mysteries are.

Laugh your chores away!

comedy, witches, urban-fantasy, paranormal, magic, snark-fest

Hilariously silly with an abundance of verbal humor and a gift for description! The publisher's blurb gives hints and there is no need for spoilers, but that can't begin to prepare you for all the laughs! Great book for a bad day at work!
Stephanie Reggio has the patter and snark down pat.
Bought as Whispersync on the cheap.

LOVED It!

Any additional comments?

This is such a fun book; this is the first book in the Magic and Mayhem series written by Robyn Peterman and narrated by Stephanie Riggio. Once I started listening to it I didn’t want to put it down until the end. This book is great, it is laugh out loud funny. Zelda is a materialistic and self-absorbed witch. She has just been released from the magic pokey and paroled with limited powers. She is sent off to an Asscrack, West Virgina town to complete a mysterious mission before All Hallows Eve. The problem is she has no idea what the mission is so how can she complete it.

The narrator Stephanie Riggio did a great job with this book. She did a great job with the different voices of each character in this book. It was very easy to listen to in one sitting and I didn’t want to stop listening until the end.

If you are looking for a great book with great characters then you need to listen to this book. I am looking forward to listening to the next book by this author and narrator.
