Story
BANGKOK, MARCH 2018. The world looked on in horror as millions of innocent lives were snuffed out in a matter of hours. Countless men, women and children slaughtered without mercy, torn apart by a violent mob that attacked without reason, motive or warning. Tom Freeman witnessed the aftermath. He reported on the tragedy and looked into the eyes of the sole survivor, an old friend, and what he saw looking back sent him running home to the United States. Back to safety. Back to a place where the world made sense, and the putrid stink of the dead didn't haunt his nightmares.

Story
As the first waves of injured bystanders, guardsmen, and rioters arrived at hospitals, it became apparent that a deadly new disease had been unleashed on the population. Whether the virus was naturally occurring or an escaped lab experiment, Cade hadn't a clue and wasn't especially concerned until he learned of its unprecedented virulence, unusual method of transference, and the fact that, according to the news, it brought the newly dead back to life, semi-mindless, and with an insatiable desire to feed on the flesh of the living.

Story
As the ash and chaos from Mount Rainier’s eruption swirled and finally settled, the story of the Greenloop massacre has passed unnoticed, unexamined...until now. The journals of resident Kate Holland, recovered from the town’s bloody wreckage, capture a tale too harrowing - and too earth-shattering in its implications - to be forgotten. In this audiobook, Max Brooks brings Kate’s extraordinary account to light for the first time, faithfully reproducing her words alongside his own extensive investigations into the massacre and the legendary beasts behind it.

Zombies Don't Surf Bk 5
Book 5 of the GOTA series is well written and I really enjoyed it. I also thought that Matthew Crow did a wonderful job narrating. This audiobook was just the perfect combo of good story writing, great characters, great locations and talented narrating that makes this book great. I received this free audiobook in a promotion and I am giving my voluntary review.

Action-packed!
Zombies Don't Surf is a fast-paced, action-packed zombie adventure and an excellent addition to the Guardians of the Apocalypse series. The storyline is super exciting and unpredictable, with loads of zombie-killing action. The characters are fascinating with witty narrative and dialogue, engaging the readers/listener further. I was thoroughly entertained and enjoyed every minute of the book. I can't wait to find out what's next!!
Matthew Crow's narration was spot on. He slips into each character, emulating the nuances of the various personalities. He provides the right amount of inflection, enriching the story and making it more enjoyable. Overall, Zombies Don't Surf is an exciting zombie listen with an excellent plot and narration, one I'll highly recommend.
