The King in Yellow is a collection of short stories - mysterious, macabre, and endearing by turns. The work has been linked to H. P. Lovecraft, with the titular entity forming a part of the extended Cthulhu mythos. The first three stories are darkly suspenseful and linked by the mysterious Yellow Sign and the malevolent King in Yellow.
