About this listen

Gillian Forrester spent her life running... until Miles came along. The moment she held her older sister's unwanted newborn, Gillian stopped running and began building a life for her adopted son. Now, 13 years later, Gillian's sister reveals the father's identity on her deathbed - a revelation that shakes Gillian to her core.

Adrian Brown is the epitome of the successful rock star. It takes a lot to shock him - but the bombshell that he has a son rocks his world. And Adrian is even more surprised when the buttoned-up elegant woman who's raising him ignites his erotic and romantic attention - and engages his heart.

This is a great series..... including this book.

Would you consider the audio edition of Never Enough to be better than the print version?

I almost did not listen to this book because of the review that was already posted. Although I just could not let this one go. I really disagree with the other post on this book. This is a great listen do not pass it up.

Adrian's Story, excellent - Lauren Dane grows!

This story and this performer is obviously the next level for Lauren Dane. You can't say she's just another silly love story writer, these books have substance and steam...I love her characters! The Browns are amazing. I love Adrian and Jillian and MIles - and all the character continuation that I thoroughly enjoy! Keep it up I love to keep up on all of them and enjoy their couple interactions! Can't wait for the next book/audible!

Never Enough

I don’t really have a favorite of this series because I like them all soooo much.
But if I had to choooooseeee…. Adrian would be it.. he is delicious!

Now Gillian is no slouch and I think I love that she puts Adrian in his place when he needs it.

I totally understand Adrian’s trust issues but I can only excuse that so far you know. At some point, he has to make the choice and go all in.

There is one scene in this book that makes me love Brody so much more than I already did and that was when he threw water in Adrian’s face, now he did it for a reason and I felt he did the right thing at that time. Brody being Brody even apologized for it after.

I think we needed that to really show that Brody has been the father figure and we don’t always remember it because we think of his as the brother but he is so much more than just a brother to Adrian and Erin. And I just loved that scene for better or worse it has just always stuck with me.

I always cry near the end of this book, Gillian gets me every time. She wears her heart on her sleeve and when it is hurt she shows it. It was an emotional scene and no matter this is the fourth time reading it I still get all weepy with her.

I LOVVVVVVEEE Lucy Rivers narration in this book so very much. She did Gillian's accent SO well. I can’t even tell you how much I loved that not only does she do an English accent well she did both types and they were both so freaking amazing and distinct.

Hot Adrian

Adrian Browns life just got turned upside down for the good. Adrian has watched his sister and brother and their friends meet and fall in love and have kids and he wants that for himself. Gillian Forrester spent her life spent her life taking care of her nephew who she adopted, because her sister gave him to her when she had him she never told him who the father was on her death bed thirteen years later she drops a bomb. Gillian does the right thing and tries to contacts Adrian she goes to Brody's shop and drops her contact info off. Adrian acts like she is a groupie or someone looking for charity. This was a really good book that I listened to it was well written "read" and I enjoyed it. I also enjoyed the fact that the Brown family is close and have really good friends. Sparks fly between Gillian and Adrian is immediately attracted to this sexy woman with the heavenly British accent. Gillian can't stop thinking about the sexy rocker who's going to be a regular part of her son's life now. But Gillian has secrets in her past that make it hard for her to open up, and Adrian has a lifestyle that makes it hard to trust. Can they each overcome their issues and make a relationship work? This book had a lot of emotions Gillian learning to share Myles and Adrian learning the meaning of co parenting and not buying Myles things that he has to work for because he can. Music is important to both Adrian and Gillian, plays a big role in their lives as she is a trained classical pianist and even Myles has a band and plays bass and they played together. I really like this series although I am not sure if I will read the next book Raven is a b*tch.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Gillian-although she was a bit unrealistic in her 'goodness' - no one is that patient.

What does Lucy Rivers bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

LOVE Lucy Rivers-she gives each character (and there are many) a unique & believable voice.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The evolution of the relationship between Miles and Adrian.

Any additional comments?

There are many fantastic hot 'bedroom' scenes. A good plot and continuation in the Brown Family saga...let's hope there are more friends and relatives for Lauren Dane to write about. I've already pre-ordered the next book.

Mature themes, strong language

Smart over 30 Romantic Story

I really liked how the main couple was over 30 and acted like it. There were lots of fun family and friends to add depth to the romance. Some hot sex but no violence (BDSM).

NEVER ENOUGH - SORRY BUT IT WAS ALL JUST TOO MUCH

I was so looking forward to this next addition and Pre-ordered it in anticipation and it started off well with a good storyline (although I didn't like the Narrator's 'haughty' British accent for the female lead)..... but it soon just fell apart.

Unrealistic events during the plot, it went on and on and on during the never-ending dialogue of what a good mother she is, then does he/she love me - followed by hours of nothingness when the H/H would just have lots of explicit sex and say how much they love each other. It all left me without that 'feel good' emotion when a tender romance blossoms, builds and blooms into an undying love. What planet does Lauren Dane live on that gets a group of hunky guys talking about 'feelings' and giving 'love advice' to each other all the time? because I personally think they'd rather stick needles in their eyes.

There was lots of references to a big 'secret' and when the .... did eventually hit the fan it was just dull and the fallout was only a few Paragraphs long.

Worth a credit? I'm so disappointed at having to say NO as this series had been good so far but I'd really have to consider risking another credit if there should be a 5th book in the series.

Standards

Since the beginning, Laid Bare, the first book in this series, I’ve gotten every book Audible released because I loved that first book. Unfortunately none of the other books that have come out on Audible have impressed me at all. I was hoping this one would impress me as much as the first one, so I pre-ordered it and waited anxiously for it, just like I did on all the others.

Sadly, we have the sexually explicit language with the boring love story. It’s similar to the previous books in that boy meets girl, they fall in love, and you hear the inner ramblings of their minds or the silly conversations that men sit and have about the woman. I actually have trouble with the idea of men sitting around having sappy conversations about “their women” in the manner that they do. I’m not a stickler about fictional writing but this kind of thing even gets to me.

So I’m not giving this series anymore of my time or money. It’s obvious that none of the books are going to be as exciting as the first. It takes more than explicit sexual situations and sappy conversations. I’ll just stay with Sara Fawkes, Olivia Cunnings, Maya Banks and Shala Black.

If you liked books 2 and 3 then I would advise you to get this one because it’s very similar. It's just Adrian's story this time. As for my recommendation, it's a NO. I'd advise you to use your credit on something better.
