About this listen

Discover an all-new adventure in USA Today Bestselling author Amanda Bouchet's thrilling, white-hot fantasy series, The Kingmaker Chronicles!

The queen has been cursed, and no one knows who's behind the plot to threaten the realm's fragile peace. Desperate to help, Jocasta hatches a plan to find Circe's Garden, a fabled island where she hopes to discover an antidote. But she can't do it alone. She needs the strong arm and unflinching bravery of the warrior she's loved since childhood—her brother's right-hand-man and captain of the guard, Flynn of Sinta. Together they can do the impossible. Yet with treachery brewing on Mount Olympus, one thing is clear: Thalyria and its new royals are still pawns in an epic game of power—one that might end in a War of Gods.

Awesome !!!

Wonderful addition to this series! The Queen had s been cursed. (poisoned) to never change. There is no known cure, Jocasta has a plan for a remedy. So she, Flynn and three others join her on the quest fore the cure!! This was a terrific book that I greatly enjoyed. Narration was great!

Narrator is awesome

I love the narrator in this book! Ignore the other reviews- she is awesome and it goes with the huskiness of the characters voice.

if you listened to the 1st 3 and LOVED them. get this.
yes, key characters get their named butchered.
you get more story lines, possibly infinite.
you get stories wrapped up with bows.
you get little teasers from other voices, GODS!
There is alot of book most of the action seems to pop off in the final hours.

Great story! Really enjoyed it!

I really enjoyed this story! It pulled me in from beginning to end and I really enjoyed getting Jocasta and Flynn's story this time around. This one picks up after the other books in the Kingmaker Chronicles end. Cat is on the throne but she is still in the crossfire, this time from competing gods. Since she is pregnant and so close she does not go on this journey but our Beta/Alpha team does and Jocasta is along with the idea so she is leading the team. I loved the adventure this time and the connection with the Greek mythology as they take on the journey to end the curse on Cat and feel like pawns in game of the gods. This story had plenty of adventure and tension with the obstacles the team had to overcome. I loved getting to know this team on a deeper level and watching Jocasta and Flynn finally come together as they were meant to. I am really hoping that we have another book/books in the series and get to see what is coming next for Carver and Balanca. Very well done and thoroughly entertaining.
The narrator did a great job with the characters and story. Pulled me in and made it come alive.

Great addition

Love when we get to be in new characters heads! Great expansion of the world. More of a slow burn and way less spice than the other books, but good world building and fantasy. It was a win in my opinion.

Only miss: I hate when they change the pronunciation of someone’s name because of a narrator change (it’s been 3 books, we’re used to the one pronunciation by now) and they did this to poor Kato.

Other than that, good book, good story and good reading!

Great story

Really enjoyed this book. A bit irritated by the narrator. Frequent mispronunciations of names and terms from the previous books.

Love the story

Hate the narration! It’s not that she did a bad job narrating, but that she didn’t pronounce the names the same!

Jocasta and Flynn are the sweetest

I loved the story between Jocasta and Flynn, I always really loved Griffin, so I didn’t know how this book would be, but the love between them and the conversations were so intense and sweet, their story was my favorite so far of the series, though I skipped Piers story, because why would I want to read about him after what he did? lol

Story good, narration is meh.

The narrator could have listened to the previous books to get the pronunciation right. All the male characters sound the same and all the female characters sound the same. It makes following a little tough. It messes with the story continuity.
