Spicy Mythology Fun

Definitely an escape with good characters. Didn’t know much about mythology and their relationships to each other but this gave it a fun, sexy twist. I’m all for adult fantasy and wish there were more decent ones out there like this. Read the 3 book series and it is a fun, hot and spicy escape!

This was not what I expected**18+**

Spoilers

There are some steamy romances that can get away with the primary character (he) only wanting/ using the same words to explain bodily urges, but, change it up! Plus, Hades can’t be taught to make cookies without slipping off to the bathroom to take care of himself until Persephone could. You were there to meet her a date and say hi to some of her friends, hack
She reminds me (don’t come at me) of Christine from Phantom….the helpless virgin who suddenly gets everything from 2 men, not to mention the fame and accord she’s trained for. I almost wonder if Per’s mother wasn’t both Madame Giri and the phantom,
Hades is Raul.
I hope that makes some sense.
and The reader was pretty monotone to me, that could have been a
Choice between them.

If you want a version of their story with a lot of chili peppers, this is a good one.
If not there are other versions out there. I wasn’t expecting the spice bombs so quickly.

Glad I didn’t listen to all the griping about the narrator!

I would have missed a great story! Not sure what people were expecting, but I had no issue with how the story was narrated. I found tone of voice and the emotions were present in Tyler’s voice as he was depicting a character who obviously had trouble expressing himself! This was great in both story AND performance.

Good story, okay narrator

Good story. Could use a more passionate narrator but not as awful as everyone says. Just don’t be too attached to the narrator and you’ll be fine and enjoy the story!

Narrator is a bad fit.

The story is great, but the narrator sounds like he's reading a newscast rather than a romance novel.

Good book terrible narrator

I should have sampled before I bought this book I don’t know why this narrator was chosen for such a powerful role with his terrible dull voice and he didn’t put in any effort to sound mysterious or evil couldn’t finish listening so annoyed

Mid

It was cool to see Hades perspective of things, but it didn’t really add much to the overall story. Nor did it really develop his character.

Good story

I enjoyed Hades’ pov, just wish they’d chosen a different voice actor to portray him.

Narrator almost made me stop listening

The lack of emotion in narration almost made me feel like I was just listening to text to speech. The story was good but too robotic on the delivery.

Good retelling

When I listen to this audiobook I just listen to it because it's in my subscription but when I look at my TBR it was in my TBR because I love the Disney returning and this is about Hades. However, when I'm doing this review, a few it's already been a few weeks. So my memory may not be good but I remember that I love how the flight tickets where it's between heat this and Persephone and it's like being a casino club scene. Where hades is the boss and the Symphony is apparently like a demigod who is also a journalist/reporter. And we all know the myth between Hades and Persephone and her mother Demetre, basically like the men but it sets in a world where humans and gods live together in a modern world. Something like procedures in but dark romance. But if you're into that romance this book is for you like it's good and it's not bad
