Narrator makes it worthwhile!

This is pretty much of a text book and the only reason it works is the smooth voice and implied authority of the narrator. She speaks with knowledge and while the author throws out far too many Asian phrases and far too many repetitive thoughts, the book misses being bogged down because Ms. Perrin never flags. She is a delight to listen to and rises above the minutiae the author cannot resist including for some unknown reason.
NOTE:This book came out yesterday and within 1 minute of its release, some "reviewer" gave it a one-star review across the board. The book is 13 hours long! How can it get one star the second it's made available? -- it's a horrible thing to do - to denigrate artists work by giving the lowest ranking possible without even bothering to listen to the audiobook. Audible should not allow that to happen.
