About this listen
Are you tired of advice that sounds amazing at first, until you actually try it? Have you ever felt like no matter what you do, you’re still falling behind?
Let’s be honest for a moment: Living with ADHD is hard. Like, really hard. And most of the advice out there? It’s not built for your brain. You’ve probably tried so many different strategies and somehow, you end up right back at square one. It’s not your fault. The truth is, ADHD brains need different solutions.
This book isn’t another collection of cookie-cutter tips or empty promises. Adult ADHD Starter Guide is about being honest—sometimes brutally so—and giving you the tools to understand your brain and start making life easier. Not perfect, just easier. And it all starts with one small, manageable win at a time.
Imagine this: Waking up and actually finishing that one task you’ve been avoiding forever. Ending your day with less guilt and a little more pride. Finally feeling like you get your ADHD—and maybe even yourself.
Why this audiobook is different:
- It’s Realistic: No empty promises. No sugar-coating. No “superpowers” hype. You won’t “master” your ADHD overnight, but you will start making real progress—progress that sticks.
- It Gets You: Written by someone who gets what it’s like to live with ADHD, this book is practical, relatable, and even a little funny. (Because if you’ve lost your keys for the third time today, laughing beats crying, right?)
- It’s Honest: Life with ADHD isn’t about perfection. It’s about finding what works for you—without the guilt.
What this audiobook will do for you:
- Help you break the cycle of guilt over “failures.”
- Show you how to make real, manageable progress without feeling overwhelmed.
- Give you the tools to celebrate the small wins that actually matter (yes, they count).
Small Steps. Real Change. Honest Answers. Stop wrestling with advice that just doesn’t work. Take the first step toward creating a life that fits your brain—chaos, quirks, and all.

Whether it’s anxiety about going to the doctor, boiling rage when we’re stuck in traffic, or devastation after a painful break-up, our lives are filled with situations that send us spiraling. But as difficult as our emotions can be, they are also a superpower. Far from being “good” or “bad,” emotions are information. When they’re activated in the right ways and at the right time, they function like an immune system, alerting us to our surroundings, telling us how to react to a situation, and helping us make the right choices. But how do we make our emotions work for us rather than against us?

A Refreshingly Real ADHD Resource
This audiobook is unlike any ADHD book I’ve read. Instead of pretending that ADHD is easily “managable,” Amy Harper is brutally frank about what the struggles are, but offers real solutions that work for the neurodivergent brain.” She gives a blueprint for how to understand ADHD without the shame and guilt that often goes along with it. And her advice about small, achievable goals has finally helped me feel more in control of my task list. Keira Grace has a soothing voice, and her narration elevates the experience even further. This audiobook comes so highly recommended!

The Most Honest ADHD Resource I’ve Ever Seen
This audiobook truly transformed how I perceive ADHD. Amy Harper doesn’t make any effort to sugar-coat things, or to offer a magical cure. Instead, she gives solid, actionable advice that doesn’t make you feel like a failure. I was drawn to the emphasis on progress over perfection, and I’m already starting to see results. Keira Grace’s warm, inviting narration really kept my attention. This is the first ADHD book that feels like it was designed for me.
