About this listen

All of Vacuos shall know the Voidgod's wrath.

Now that Guardian Angel Z357 is dead, there is nothing left standing in the path of Kallistus Kal and his one true desire. Not the Astrad Kingdom, not the Sect of the Abyssal Thorns, and certainly not Amelia. Especially not Amelia. Because she is far too busy dealing with the baby bastion bees back in her restaurant.

However, when everyone turns to her to save them, she will have no choice but to choose between her normal life and being a hero once again.

OK - Pretty Much the Same

More flat stare, working jaw, snapping brow action. Yes, this is pretty much more of the same, both likable aspects as well as annoying - including retelling of the same scenes from different points of view in a very hamfisted way. Somehow, though, it is still a fun little series and I enjoyed it all the same. Just be forewarned that Amelia's backstory gets retconned into something even more ridiculous and by the end of the book we see her as basically a goddess.

One thing the book does well is in making you really feel for Amelia. She has been through so much over and over again, and all she wants is a little peace and quiet, yet every time something bad happens, people keep begging her to intervene and solve their problems, then they try to make her feel bad when she declines. In the end, though, we know she is a softy who will do what is needed to protect her friends. I actually like her character quite a bit, but I'm sure some simple people might think she is selfish.

Anyway, it will be interesting to see if this series continues. I'm not sure where the author plans to take things from here. I hope he either lets it end here or comes up with something that will make it fresh again. The worst case would be making slightly different copies of this same plot. I think that would get old fast.

Perfect

I don’t know if this is the ending of this series, but if it is it’s the perfect way to end the story. And if it’s not, it leaves enough open possibilities for the story to continue.

Ok continuation of series

It’s not my favorite series but worth the credit. The style is raw and the MC is grumpy.
Narration fits the style.

Fantastical fun story of pestering the hero to act

In many ways is the story finally getting Amelia to start taking responsibility she has with her immense power and putting more effort to the people around her. In many ways there plenty of reason for why Amelia acts as she does, and it was great to see that explored more. Jack and Arthur also get a moment in the spotlight while Noel is off to her own adventure and is not much in the story this time around. While lot of it is Amelia taking care of the restaurant, we do get more overpower and fun action, and more glimpse on why Amelia act the way she does. The ending while being over the top fun, did had a bitter sweet moment to it.

After the world is saved? What then.

It's simply more, more of what we want, more of Amelia, more Arthur, more Jax, just more of everything... if you've come this far then you'll probably stay till the end, unless the author completely throws/ gives up on the story.

It is a decent but frustrating listen that makes me second guess my purchase.

The M.C. frustates me so much. If I didn't start this series a while back I would probably pass on it. I just don't think Amelia is a hero at all shes selfish, lazy and short sighted. The story is pretty well written and the narrator is top notch. I just end up aggravated by Amelia so much, she's more a anti hero or tries to be.

good story but very repetitive

it seems like every time the perspective switches the have to recap who they are their past why they are in the dilemma they are in their relationship with the MC like the book is already short if you take out the repetitive recaps it would probably be 6.5 hours

Amelia

This book made me strongly dislike Amelia. I enjoy most of the other characters and that's what saves the book.
