About this listen

From the heart and soul of mental-health sufferer Chloe Catchpole and the expert minds of the talented clinical psychologists Dr. Lauren Callaghan and Dr. Annemarie O’Connor, this audiobook is divided into two helpful, cohesive parts.

In part I, we follow Chloe’s desperate struggle with body image and body dysmorphia. We learn about the huge impact it had on her everyday life, drastically affecting her education and career prospects. We witness her journey of painful despair, from a teenager who never really understood the illness tormenting her to a young woman regaining control in her life. Meeting Dr. Callaghan and Dr. O’Connor was a turning point in her life, as they guided her on the road toward recovery and helped her manage the holds her disorder had over her.

Sufferers with any type of body image or anxiety conditions will identify with Chloe’s suffering and the daily struggles she faces. Dr. Callaghan and Dr. O’Connor’s wisdom, expertise, and compassionate approach have enabled Chloe to move on significantly with her life. Their approach is captured perfectly as they provide valuable insight into why and how Chloe struggled with her condition and what needs to be done to ensure her path to recovery and beyond.

Part II is "Pulling the trigger", the definitive survival and recovery approach for overcoming issues with body image and body dysmorphic disorder. It is a unique, user-friendly self-help approach to support and guide mild, moderate, and severe sufferers to a place called recovery and beyond.

Too much time was spent on patient testimonial. Last half of the book was irrelevant to me, and I need more of something else.

I got something out of it.

Kept saying the same thing over and over again . did a good job, capturing the anxiety of BDD but never really offered any solutions .

They keep referring to a worksheet in part 2 that doesn't exist with this download. It is such an integral part of the content, making it hard to accomplish the exercises. We're writing a program on body image problems and have other ways of aquiring similar worksheets, but it should be included for readers to be able to follow along.

They refer to a worksheet, but it's not provided

In part two, there are worksheets and graphics every five minutes. I emailed Amazon, and they said that no worksheets had been supplied. Very frustrating.
