About this listen

Brian, an aimless slacker, works doubles at his shift job, forgets to clean his room and lays about with his friends Nik and Darby. He's been struggling to manage his transition to adulthood almost as much as his monthly transitions to a werewolf. Really, he is not great at the whole werewolf thing, and his recent murderous slip-ups have caught the attention of Tyler, a Millennial were-mentor determined to take the mythological world by storm. Tyler has got a plan, and weirdly his self-help punditry actually encourages Brian to shape up and to stop accidently marking out guys who ghosted him on Grindr as potential monthly victims. But as Brian gets closer to Tyler's pack, and alienated from Nik and Darby, he realises that Tyler's expansion plans are much more nefarious than a little lupine enlightenment...

This was a real surprise

It was nothing like I expected but in the best way possible, I was expecting an erotic novel involving werewolf’s but it was actually a fun adventure with some very likable characters

Fun urban fantasy: hope there’s more!

Well written, super fun, good character development. A few moments are actually poignant and beautiful, and the descriptions of 1) self-sabotage when trying to adult, and 2) dealing with the hetero nonsense and toxic masculinity are both affirming and amusing.

Fun Read

Really enjoyed this book. Good narration, fun plot, and a gratifying take down of toxic masculinity.

very different and refreshing!

a different take on the werewolf trope, gay or straight, that really kept me invested.

Very entertaining

I really enjoyed this book. The way the MC's experiences were portrayed felt real and expressed his struggles but all with a sort of dry, tongue-in-cheek wit that kept it from being too heavy. A lot happens, which is exciting, but I think lessened some of the impact of the emotional moments because just as the "aww" or "oh no" was taking hold we were past it. On that same note, even as the story arc concluded satisfactorily, it wasn't as "now you can see how everything will be better" as I would have liked... more "exciting revelation... THE END." Hopefully the author was foreshadowing for another book, not just leaving us with a hint of possible awesomeness and no details.

Definitely a good read!

Was an interesting story, however the pacing at times felt off. Amazing narrator though.

Amusing take on werewolves… and society

Funny, not rolling the floor funny, but an entertaining stream of “yeah, life’s like this.” A great send up of selfーhelp culture as well!

the name speaks for the quality

to be frank it's a Tumblr tier shlock book that doesn't ask more than the title suggests. for a mindless read or listen it's pretty decent. if there might ever be a sequel I wouldn't mind tuning in to see how the trio move forward with thier lives.

Skip it.

Reads like a first draft and the narrator is roooough. He mispronounces a lot of words and has confusing pauses in the middle of sentences. It’s like they had one shot at making the audiobook and he didn’t get a chance to look at it beforehand.
