About this listen

A former gang member has tracked down the man who ratted out his brother 10 years ago. It's time for some good old-fashioned revenge, except the man in question is crippled. And he's a priest. And no one's going to let him go down without a fight.

This book introduced us to Father Jay. During his youth he was a trouble maker but was an injured veteran and changed his ways for the better.

I've never been Roman Catholic, but I am aware of the importance of the comfort and strength it brings to chronically stressed people. The personal transformations of one man, Father Jay, brings strength and hope to a neighborhood which has neither. Not all seriously damaged veterans wind up lost and hopeless, and neither do gang members who live long enough. An uplifting story, regardless of the readers belief system.
RP demonstrates ability as an audio performer, but needs to head for a dictionary to learn pronunciations of words he is unfamiliar with.
