Carb cycling is an effective, newer, and proven “way of eating” that greatly helps in weight and fat loss, without losing muscles, by adding in lots of carbs to your current diet, at a certain time of the day or week (cycle). This way of eating is an integral part of the trainings followed by athletes and professional body builders.
Its effects go beyond getting fit and preparing athletes for their events. It can be done by just about everyone in order to achieve your desired weight goal.
Carb cycling is a system that is very simple to follow and understand, which is why many people like it.
Meals for a week are cycled or rotated through low to no-carb days, medium carb, and high-carb intake. Regardless of the level of carb intake, each day should include high protein intake.
Fat intake is adjusted in relation to carb intake. On high-carb days, fat intake is low. On low-carb days, fat intake is high.
The cycle depends on you. You can choose to have four low-carb days in a week, followed by a high-carb intake then a no-carb intake. Or, have three days of low-carb intake, followed by high-carb and a no-carb then start over! There are many variations to carb cycling that will work depending on you; everyone is different.
For me, the author, I discovered that daily carb cycling works best for me; in late morning/early afternoon I eat low carb meals with fat. In the evening I eat high carb healthy foods, such as: fruit, vegetables, grains, and sometimes...unhealthy carbs like pizza, cookies, chips, etc.
It’s time you change your mind about carbs:
- Burn fat (carbs are actually needed to burn or metabolize fat quicker)
- Build muscle (carbs are needed to enhance and balance hormones and metabolism)
- No gym required!
- Cheat every other day, with unhealthy carbs!

I downloaded this book to get a quick start to weight loss and I really feel like I can do it. This book offers a great explanation of how carb cycling works. I do MMA so I was worried how a big workout would fit into carb cycling, but after reading the section on carb cycling and exercise, I totally understand how to do it properly. Thanks!

Excellent read for getting going
This book is fantastic for anyone starting with carb cycling. It is packed with recipes and has everything you need to learn about carb cycling and start making food that works. The book starts with a review of carb cycling and then jumps right into recipes.
The recipes are extremely easy to prepare and are extremely tasty. The author breaks them down into breakfast recipes, sides and entrees, main dishes and then goes back to the high carb days. This book gives you all the recipes you need to start carb cycling. There is no need to wait. If you want to get the benefits of carb cycling right away, this book is for you!

Love it for the recipes, but...
First of all, be warned: this book does not contain macro counts, which I don't normally mind but it would still be good to have it just in case I am in the mood to monitor calories and carbs. This book also has no info as to how you will start with the diet, so if you're looking for that, go somewhere else. I think the author should change the subtitle for this book because this isn't going to be the "ultimate guide" for carb cycling.

Its a very complete and easy to read
I have read books about Cycling diet and ant-inflammatory diet before but this one blows my mind! It's very complete and easy to read and follow the recipes. It is a well-done book. I'm beginner cyclists and this book will guide me true. That's allows me to start fell good and healthy. I recommend this book for anyone wants lose weight and start cycling.

Great Plan

Carb cycling as an easy to understand lifestyle ch
To begin, I have to say that I enjoyed the author’s authenticity and engaging form of writing with the reader. This helped it to become a “conversation” rather than just another book full of facts.
I appreciated how Josh Falenski broke down this whole concept of carb cycling into bite-sized pieces, using helpful charts and food plans to make it a workable option.
With useful tips on bulk food preparation and strategies for success, I know this book will find a wide audience—especially because this author speaks from first-hand experiences with this lifestyle and makes this his life's work.
