Publisher's summary
The first second of a quiet living, slice-of-life LitRPG about farming.
A year has passed in the town of Summer Shandy.
The farmstead outside of town isn't quite as run-down as it used to be. The fields still need to be tended, the monsters still need to be handled, and the soil will always need a tilling. That's life. And for Jason Hunter, it's a good one. At least it would be if it wasn't for those out-of-towners.
Get a copy of this farming coziness and embark on a quiet adventure!

Story
The chance of a lifetime started with a gift. An inheritance of the Old Farmstead outside of the town of Summer Shandy. It’s overgrown, overrun, and filled with field monsters and in a bad need of a tilling. But it’s something, it’s a start, and for Jason Hunter, that’s all he needs. And all his uncle wanted for him. But farm life doesn’t come easy. With a mountain of chores that range from monster extermination to watering crops, Jason will need to learn to manage his stamina, build up his endurance, and maintain a social life if he’s going to live in the country.

Story
Every year, the empire administers the rite of passage into adulthood. That rite serves to identify those blessed by Aether to become magi. The new magi are shipped to the academy to learn the arts of magic. The academy is a dangerous place; the tournaments held twice each year can cripple or kill the students, and the clans of the empire will go to great lengths to recruit the students they want. Gregory had one dream: to become a magi like the legends of old. Though he was ridiculed by the residents of the village and his unsupportive father, he never wavered from his dream.

Fight, survive, adapt, and rely only on yourself. That is Derek’s creed and what's got him through the System Integration on Earth. Everything changed when the System came. Cute bunnies and beautiful butterflies became savage killing machines. Then the Invaders arrived with a single goal: to obtain ownership of this new habitable planet. War has raged ever since. None of this mattered much to Derek, aside from making living a little more perilous.

Jin Rou wanted to be a cultivator. A man powerful enough to defy the heavens. A master of martial arts. A lord of spiritual power. Unfortunately for him, he died, and now I’m stuck in his body. Arrogant Masters? Heavenly Tribulations? All that violence and bloodshed? Yeah, no thanks. I’m getting out of here. Farm life sounds pretty great. Tilling a field by hand is fun when you’ve got the strength of ten men—though maybe I shouldn’t have fed those Spirit Herbs to my pet rooster.

Story
A world on the precipice of the apocalypse. A secret forged in the flames of war. A chance to start over. For John Sutton, only one of those three things matters. Retired from a decade of brutal war, he wants nothing more than a quiet pastoral life while he does his best to stem the steady increase of his Doom Points before they hit 100, signaling the start of the end. He’s been given a small farm on the outskirts of the empire as thanks for his service, but no matter how far he travels, it's impossible to escape the war's devastating effects on the world.

Growing up, she was the girl down the street. Even then, I knew she was different. She was tough, rough, and had the strength to stop a speeding car with her bare hands. We were as thick as thieves, sharing every adventure. Then one day she revealed a secret. She wasn't from Earth. She was from a distant place called the Arcadia Multiverse. Her people lived under the rule of a god-like entity known as the System. That System had its gaze fixed on Earth. And it was only a matter of time before it came for us.

All for the chance to get back at a handful of people. It isn’t as if they didn’t deserve it either. They had driven him from his home. Chased him physically from the very guild house itself. The Sun Dragon spawned nine lesser dragons which devoured their parent for the power the elder possessed. Another well-written story from a very good author
Casual Farming 2: A Slow Living LitRPG (Sowing Season), my thirteenth read from author Wolfe Locke. Another unique, captivating, page-turning, well-written read leaves you panting for more. 10-hours 32-minutes/581-pages. I'm voluntarily leaving a review." Ashlinn Romagnoli‘s narration adds to the enjoyment of the book. “I received a free Audible copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review." The gifting of this book did not affect my opinion of it. I look forward to reading Casual Farming 3: A Slow Living LitRPG (Sowing Season). (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 - July 24, 2018).

Continuation of a great story
I have to stay Ashlinn Romagnoli does a superb job on the narration. I really enjoy how well she does all the characters and how easy it is tell the difference between them. As for the overall story content I am continually impressed by how well Wolfe can spin a story and keep you guessing till the last minute. I am very happy about how the story ended and for the continuation of the story
Potential Spoliers:
I will be honest this took me a while longer than normal to finish because I accidentally saw the intro blurb on Facebook for book 3 and I was afraid that everything had changed radically. I am not a fan of a relationship being built up and then an another love interest or some other major change being introduced. Now that I finished the book I am happy that Tess and Jason are still together at the end of the book. I am excited to see where they go from there.

A great continuation for Jason and friends
At my request I received a copy of this audiobook in order to give a fair and unbiased review
Genre: LitRPG fantasy Farming Slice of life romance
LitRPG system: level and skill based, but not dominant, the focus is on the financial game aspects
Explicit content: No adult or explicit content.
We are back again in Summer Shandy. The guild hall is back and trying to incorporate themselves in society. At the same time new pests are challenging the life of our farmer Jason.
Narrator
Ashlinn Romagnoli is a good story teller and I was once again swept away into Jason's life.
Overall: 4/5 stars
The book’s strengths.
- An engaging set of ever changing challenges.
- The characters are growing deeper and more interesting as the series progress
- I love how the previous book is tied into this one.
The book’s weaknesses.
- I feel that this book had more action than I had hoped. I would love for the series to have even less action/combat.
Overall: 4/5 stars
Great continuation of the story. I find myself getting more and more invested in the friends from Summer Shandy.

Enjoyed it
Hurray hurray, it was not an overpowered warrior and not another cookie cutter boy or girl comes of age and uses magic or power some such to overcome the world! Instead it was simple tale of an average guy do the right thing despite the costs. I kept reading each chapter to see how he would! I am looking forward to the next book!

pretty good sequel
this was a pretty good sequel, this book filled some of my complaints from the last book. a little bit of the book was boring, but as I got into book two it got better.
ashlinn did better with this book, her voices improved, the overall quality of the book improved. I'm actually very impressed with her performance.
the plot was interesting for alot of the book, but as I mentioned before some of it was boring. i do still think it was better than book one. the characters were better written than book one. they felt more real then they did before. Overall, I feel this sequel improved on alot of stuff, I recommend this series, it's slow, but overall I think it's worth it.
