Sweet and Wholesome

I’m happy that this wasn’t convoluted like some romances are, they give me headaches. It could’ve been a bit longer. Hopefully there is a sequel to Joe and Char’s story, like after graduation. Maybe the d*ckhead jock comes back to pick a fight, because he’s a d*ick.

The one part that I didn’t like was in the prologue. Joe says “yes” to the gang leader when she asks if he needs help. He knew her reputation and still said “yes.” If he was a freshmen it would have been understandable but he was a senior.

Pretty freaking awesome

This book is great I think it’s absolutely amazing with its adorable characters and fun dialogue with some cringe moments here or there but it definitely makes it much more realistic. I’d definitely recommend this book to anyone interested in Romance.

A fantastic book performed fantastically well!

This book did a fantastic job bringing the characters to life such that their interactions and emotions felt authentic, which is why I can say this book is as solidly written as it is enjoyable to read.

It starts off with a few scenes of bullying which made me cringe a bit because they were so well written. In hindsight, that was my first clue to how invested I would be in the Characters.

What follows is probably one of the best romance books, or books in general, that I’ve read. Eschewing high stakes and other over-the-top dramatics, the book is very tightly focused on two people who are grappling with who they are and how they feel about each other. Both viewpoint characters grew on me as they grew as people and grew together.

This book does a great job making the setting at large feel lived in and having the characters (not just the main two) feel as full people with friends, interests, and baggage from before the story. A great mix of exposition and “showing over telling” keeps the story flowing and immersive.

The audio performer did a good job conveying who was speaking and their emotions throughout the book. Sound quality was clear and there were no editing/mixing errors that I noticed.

I will definitely be reading more of the KRT’s books and listening to other works performed by Summer Moon. I highly recommend this book to anyone looking for a good romance, an entertaining read, or a change-up from the typical paranormal fantasy book.

The relationship dynamic was perfect

Summer did awesome narrating this compelling story. It might have been better as a dual narration, but that could also be my own preference where Monoromance is concerned. Could not put this one down!

Amazing

Honestly an amazing love story. A wonderful Romance for Men example of the genre. The relationship dynamics and tropes are handled spectacularly. I can’t wait for Jessica’s Loser.
