About this listen

Award-winning business performance improvement and Lean management expert Karen Martin diagnoses a ubiquitous business management and leadership problem - the lack of clarity - and outlines specific actions to dramatically improve organizational performance.

Through her global consulting projects, keynote speeches, and work with thousands of leaders, Karen has seen first-hand how a pervasive lack of clarity strangles business performance and erodes employee engagement. Ambiguity is the corporate default state, a condition so prevalent that “tolerance for ambiguity” has become a clichéd job requirement.

It doesn’t have to be this way.

In Clarity First, Karen provides methods and insights for achieving clarity to unleash potential, innovate at higher levels, and solve the problems that matter to deliver outstanding business results. Both a visionary road map and practical guide, this book will help leaders:

  • Identify and communicate the organization’s true purpose
  • Set achievable priorities
  • Deliver greater customer value through more efficient processes
  • Build organization-wide problem solving capabilities
  • Develop personal clarity to become a more direct, purposeful, and successful leader

Eliminating ambiguity is the first step for leaders and organizations to achieve strategic goals. Learn how to gain the clarity needed to make better decisions, lead more effectively, and boost organizational performance.

When it comes to leading an outstanding organization, every great leader needs Clarity First.

Truly helps with Clarity!

I really enjoyed the scope of this book. It has a very broad range of areas by which you can achieve clarity. The specifics it goes into and the pdf with visuals really help put clarity practice into action.

My only constructive feedback is the actual reading of the book. While I find that I enjoy hearing from the author, having someone who’s dedicated to reading books read the content really helps with comprehension and getting immersed in the listening of the book.

Great topic and concern many but needed a more better narration

I felt Karen’s research and observations and point of view is very insightful, if this was adequately balanced with a great narrative voice, this book could have got my thumbs up.
Specially for a audio book, the narration plays such a significant role, now I feel I should got a hard copy as the narration did not work for me!

Excellently written and performed.

Karen clearly has an long and impressive track record for helping her clients get outstanding results. Finishing the book with a note in mindfulness was such a nice touch. This is one I'll have to revisit on occasion.

Not for me - dislike narrator's voice +

I was excited about the promised content and great reviews... discovered that I can't get over how forceful the narrator's voice is... takes away the joy of listening.. still tried to listen for the first few pages and was disappointed with essentially no take aways or hearing anything of substance.. with so many great books out there, I think I've done what I could in trying this and will switch to another book...
