Awesome book for my college aged children!

This is a valuable book for learning how to navigate through the dreaded hateful "roommate" experience. I wish that I was aware of some of these principles when I was in college as it would have made life better. The book delves into many of the areas of issue, mostly communication. Or should I say the lack of it. Many of us were still in adolescence during our college days, thus college is often our first lessons in dealing with a "new" person in our lives after many years of dealing with just parents and siblings. This book does a good job of explaining this situation and still goes into things like Myers-Briggs personality types which helps one understand the type of roommates that one may be dealing with.

Busy listening

Conversation for some is challenging and this book gives tips on how to start and continue conversations. I am sure the appeal to slang terms and language is high for the young and that this book can help those who struggle with relating to others in that way. Overall, a decent listen.

Must Read

This is a book I definitely needed while I was in college, and it’s a book I’ll be sharing with my niece, who’s heading off to college next year. It’s good to start early learning and applying practical steps for dealing with different personalities, communicating effectively, and giving other people space. There are some lessons about how to deal with people that we learn from life and some lessons we can learn from books. This is a great foundational book to start thinking about how to live and share space with someone else who will certainly have differing opinions and methods of communication than yourself. This is a must-read not just for college attendees but it’s also a great book for anyone looking to learn more about interacting with other people and refining their communication skills.

AN INSIGHTFUL RESOURCE!

I used to be a student living in a hostel. I feel really sad that I found out about this book so late. If I had known earlier, my life would have been much better. This book is like a guide for getting along with roommates. It helps with all the problems you face when sharing a room. From talking about issues to sharing space, this book has solutions. I wish I had it before, but I hope other students get it early and have a great time in the hostel. I appreciate the author for such an amazing work. Highly recommended!
