About this listen

A USA TODAY BESTSELLER!

She’s an honors student with ambitious graduate school plans and he’s a jock with only hockey on his mind, but once their worlds collide, their connection is hot enough to melt an ice rink.

An ultimatum from Summer Preston’s thesis advisor thrusts her into an unexpected collision with the hockey team’s captain, Aiden Crawford. She’s caught between conflicting desires of fulfilling her lifelong dream of becoming a sport psychologist and staying as far away as possible from the god-awful sport. And once she meets Aiden—well, let’s just say he confirms all her worst assumptions about hockey players.

Being the captain of the college hockey team has its perks, except when a reckless mistake by Aiden’s team threatens to jeopardize their entire season. As punishment, Aiden’s coach nominates him as the subject of a student research project. Participating is the last thing he wants to do, especially since the girl leading the project looks like she could wield his skates as a weapon.

Summer can’t stand Aiden’s blasé approach to life, and Aiden doesn’t understand why she’s twenty years old with a twenty-five-year plan. But their bickering soon turns to bantering—and once they let their guards down, there’s nothing to check their feelings.

Critic reviews

“Charming and brilliant! Bal Khabra’s Collide, equal parts spicy and sweet, shines above the rest. Khabra seamlessly weaves her whip-smart banter, captivating cast of characters and laugh-out-loud humor into an endearing, timeless love story. Readers will cheer for Aiden and Summer from the first page, and think of them long after the end.”—Peyton Corinne, author of Unsteady

“Sexy and swoony, Aiden is a perfect book boyfriend.”—Avery Keelan, author of Offside

Summer is uptight and doesn’t like hockey players because of her dad. Aiden is the captain of the college hockey team, and is a playboy. She is over the top grumpy and he is equally frustrating as the reader. Neither wanted to work with each other, but they both became hot and bothered by each other. The spice was spicing. This book was just way too long.

I e read every romance book like this one but nothing has left me speechless like this one. If you’re looking for a steamy but sweet romance and if you’re a teen read this.

I was a little on the fence about giving this four stars or five stars. The story is great. Aiden is truly boyfriend goals. He was so emotionally intelligent that I’m honestly a little jealous. Summer was not my favorite character for most of the book. The discussion of her daddy issues was really minimal which in hindsight now that I’m done with the book, I actually appreciate it. The daddy issues with Summer is addressed and though it doesn’t go into great detail and paint her dad in a bad light. It does show the pain there a little. The spice was great definitely 5🌶️. It was a really good book and I really enjoyed reading it

Worth the read

Some more explicit scenes than Icebreaker so car listeners beware! Narrators were fabulous and the characters grow together.

Very similar to Icebreaker

This book was a solid addition to my bookshelf while I am in my hockey romance era. This book was a solid four-and-a-half-star read until I reached the end and knew that five stars was the right choice after all. I initially thought that the progression of their relationship in the beginning was not very convincing but, in the end, there was no doubt about their relationship regardless of how it started. The romance and falling in love in this story was so satisfying. I thought that some of the female lead character's actions and choices were annoying but by the end, I could see that it was all part of her character development. Both main characters were so multidimensional and fleshed out with distinct personalities. I loved all of the secondary characters but admit to having trouble keeping them straight in my mind at times while reading. I really hope to see more of them in future books in this series. Overall, this book was very addicting and put a huge smile on my face. I will definitely read this author again.

Hockey romance era gold!
