About this listen

A USA TODAY BESTSELLER!

She’s an honors student with ambitious graduate school plans and he’s a jock with only hockey on his mind, but once their worlds collide, their connection is hot enough to melt an ice rink.

An ultimatum from Summer Preston’s thesis advisor thrusts her into an unexpected collision with the hockey team’s captain, Aiden Crawford. She’s caught between conflicting desires of fulfilling her lifelong dream of becoming a sport psychologist and staying as far away as possible from the god-awful sport. And once she meets Aiden—well, let’s just say he confirms all her worst assumptions about hockey players.

Being the captain of the college hockey team has its perks, except when a reckless mistake by Aiden’s team threatens to jeopardize their entire season. As punishment, Aiden’s coach nominates him as the subject of a student research project. Participating is the last thing he wants to do, especially since the girl leading the project looks like she could wield his skates as a weapon.

Summer can’t stand Aiden’s blasé approach to life, and Aiden doesn’t understand why she’s twenty years old with a twenty-five-year plan. But their bickering soon turns to bantering—and once they let their guards down, there’s nothing to check their feelings.

Worth the read

I was a little on the fence about giving this four stars or five stars. The story is great. Aiden is truly boyfriend goals. He was so emotionally intelligent that I’m honestly a little jealous. Summer was not my favorite character for most of the book. The discussion of her daddy issues was really minimal which in hindsight now that I’m done with the book, I actually appreciate it. The daddy issues with Summer is addressed and though it doesn’t go into great detail and paint her dad in a bad light. It does show the pain there a little. The spice was great definitely 5🌶️. It was a really good book and I really enjoyed reading it

Incredibly familiar but I still liked it

It cute and fun book I enjoyed listening But it reminded me the deal by Elle Kennedy when he needs to help her with her project to stay on the team like when garret needed to learn to stay on the team or that he lives with his friends from the team like garret did or the problem that summer is not taking to her father because he pushed her to be the best like garret and a lots of small details but overall it was a really fun cute funny and nice book if someone is looking for a book like the deal it’s close and I recommend

Best book yet

I e read every romance book like this one but nothing has left me speechless like this one. If you’re looking for a steamy but sweet romance and if you’re a teen read this.

Kept my interest and I really enjoyed it

Overall I really enjoyed this. There are enough twists and turns to keep your interest the entire story line. While I understood why the main character didn’t care for hockey players and had a rough go with her dad I had wished that particular line had been fleshed out a bit better. Overall I very much enjoyed reading this and am looking forward to the next season n the series!

Amazing

I freaking loved this book! The banter, the found family, the SPICE! Everything was done so well that you actually felt like you knew these characters. I almost felt like I was part of their little group. And yes the spice between Summer and Aiden was spicy, but there were so many emotional, sweet moments that came into play; that the spicy scenes made sense because it was organic between these two. It really felt like I was watching two people fall in love. Summer and Aiden’s band of misfits was also one of my favorite parts of the story because anytime Kian came in, I was laughing out loud to whatever craziness he had to say. Amazing book, I’m ready to read about Eli, because he was a gentle giant in this book but I can’t wait to read more about him. Also, please tell me if Amara and Sampson ended up together?! I gotta know!!!

Hockey romance era gold!

This book was a solid addition to my bookshelf while I am in my hockey romance era. This book was a solid four-and-a-half-star read until I reached the end and knew that five stars was the right choice after all. I initially thought that the progression of their relationship in the beginning was not very convincing but, in the end, there was no doubt about their relationship regardless of how it started. The romance and falling in love in this story was so satisfying. I thought that some of the female lead character's actions and choices were annoying but by the end, I could see that it was all part of her character development. Both main characters were so multidimensional and fleshed out with distinct personalities. I loved all of the secondary characters but admit to having trouble keeping them straight in my mind at times while reading. I really hope to see more of them in future books in this series. Overall, this book was very addicting and put a huge smile on my face. I will definitely read this author again.
